It's been nearly two months since the tenth anniversary of the premiere of Ronin Warriors. And since then I'm proud to say that I've been a dedicated fan since. I remember the first episode I watched was when Ryo fought Sekmet and Mia's grandfather died. I thought Ronin Warriors premiered at the exact right time for me personally because it was a period when I was getting into anime (I was barely 11 at the time) and I was back from a trip to the Philippines exposed to other anime like Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, and Yuu Yuu Hakushou before then even premiered. But from the looks of Ronin Warriors, it looked like a classic. I was also a big fan of Captain N back in the day and I immediatly recognized Ryo's voice as Matt Hill, who played Kevin so that was a big plus for me. Hell, I even studied and memorized the characters before I even took a Japanese lesson or looked at a Japanese book. I was also then upset when the anime was canceled into obscurity. I heard it was on at Sci-Fi for awhile, but it was on at like 2AM and I was a jr. high student then. Then it finally came back to Cartoon Network in 2000 and was excited and decided to record the series this time. I then finally got the DVD series set last summer and still love it. RONIN WARRIORS FOREVER!!!

I love Samurai Troopers (sorry, used to Japanese title) I watched it in Japanese before I watched it in English. Why did they change the names, except Ryo's? I dunno, but it was a great show ^^ |
