It stinks that Kamiya Akira is not back to play Kenshiro. It's only a few episodes and it doesn't really compare to the old series.

I think this version is based off a novel, I forgot the name of the series .

Souten no Ken is a prequel. It takes place in the 1930s and has a young Ryuuken. I've only read very little of it. It's about an uncle of Kenshiro .
