AIM is aol instant messanger. it's a messenger program just like MSN Messenger and Yahoo Messenger, where you can chat live to your friends and stuff. |

hmm... orange chicken... *drools* MSN, ey? i beg to differ, but whatever floats your boat. now this makes me think, i wonder if there's already a thread about what people think is the better messenger program out of: AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ and whatever popular program there is. i think those are the tops ones though... and from the search i just did, there doesn't appear to be any. sooo... i'd make one, but now i'm lazy. and want some orange chicken. |

Well, orange chicken does sound nice but I would've liked to hear stinky tofu (oh my gosh, once you get used to the smell, it's like a plump pillow for your mind... Translation: Its great). Hmm, I was going to ask if anyone in Europe or Asia uses AIM, but as it's already answered. I've AIM too, just very not on much. |

| well , MSN is the most popular one, atleast it is in Europe. Yahoo messenger is not as good as MSN, and I actually never used AIM, and as far as I know, no friend of mine uses it(which I think mostly americans use it, because it comes from AOL), and ICQ is used by many, and it might be as popular as MSN |

well, i don't see a whole lot of difference in the different services, but the best messenger of all time is Trillian. Keeps one unified buddy list for all your messenger networks, AIM, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, and even mIRC. and you might find my on AIM as "noahm73" sometimes |

i don't have to worry about the ads and whatnot on aim because i use deadaim. =) i just love it's features: clone, transparency, tabbed windows, logging oh converstaions, option of hiding buttons and supressing ads and the aim today, etc. i stopped using msn. there's really nothing on it that makes it stand out from the others, except letting me know how many emails i have. but then i don't even use my hotmail accounts anymore. i've dumped them for my gmail and yahoo ones. i'd use yahoo more, if only i had more buddies on it. all my friends, everyone i talk to uses aim. i just leave it on in case i get any emails. |
