Longest time you left your computer on for?

The longest time I've left my computer on for was about 30 hrs from the beginning of the previous day till noon on the following day.  |

I think it was on for three days time? About 60something hours, I was DL torrents. & for some starnge reason as long as a keep my monator off while not useing my computer it didn't over heat. bUt here in Alabama, US. We have too many T-storms to keep a computer on 24/7. One strick & good bye hours apound hours apound hours of websurfing & DLing stuff gone for ever. Not to mention all the money going into buying another computer. So my computer stays off during t-storms. & don't think it wont happen to you b/c my uncle has had his house struck twice. & had to replace a ton of wireing the second time plus a computer.
Never date a guy stranger than you. If so, make sure he's loaded.

err...umm sad to say, but, 2 months roughly, I remeber cause I couldnt figure out how to turn the computer back on ( i have a broken on/off switch on my case) and that was only interupted by a restart i had to do. I pretty much have my computer running for a couple weeks before seomthing like a power outage or restart is needed. I turn my screens off alot. Just to clarify, I have a an old sever case thats stands 28 inches high with everything in seperate compartment with tons of airflow and free space, also I have a 24 ich floor fant blowing directly into it on the highest setting.. thats why my computer wont over heat.

For me it was probably about 2 days and i was online...my pc was totally fried cause it was freakin hot! My parents were soo mad...^_^'

I've left my computer on for weeks at a time, and it never overheated. This was my old computer, though: the processor was an AMD 300mhz and it had 64 megs of RAM and a seven gigabyte hard drive. So, there wasn't a whole lot of hardware to generate heat. The cooling fan had started making horrible grinding noises by the time I finally got it replaced with a nifty laptop.  |

EricSoLazy I have the same problem!!!! My dad has a "Memorx Power Center" hunked up to mine. The thing is used & w/ me truning my computer on & off like at least once a day for that last year the Master switch broke! Now the switch won't stay off so I'll have to turn on & off all the other switches now on. I wish they made switch replacements. It's ok I can just take one of mine plastic chopsticks & try to turn it off but 95% of the time it truns right back on once I remove the chopstick.

About 2-3 months... the powerbox exploded internally.. and Best Buy just happened to be having some at home repair issues... so i waited... and waited... and... you guessed it, waited... >_>

well my switch issue was that the switch on the case has a 3-pin connector and the motherboard accepts a 2-pin connector.. so I stuck 2 out of 3 pins in the motherboard and it worked... kinda.. not really

Dang, I can't compete with any of you. The longest I left the computer on was 8 or 9 hrs.

i left my comp on for 2 weeks stright when i left for vacation and forgot to turn it off.. and wc111 was runing so it looked like i was on for 2 weeks.

| The longest time I left a computer on was about a little less than a week. I was downloading anime the entire time with bitTornado. It was a good thing nothing overheated because I was using my sister's computer. She would have killed me with a dull, rusty butterknife. ^_^! |
