Confusing storylines

| As the title suggests, what are some animes with really confusing storylines? Some that you have to watch again and again to at least understand a bit at a time? Agharta got really complicasted in the later volumes for me. |

Hmm...I don't think I have an anime that made me feel like a complete idiot. But I'll list the ones that made me scratch my head. Paranoia Agent- Well, it really makes sense with the final episodes. But when I started watching it I was expecting something else of Lil' Slugger, so I was thrown off. Neon Genesis Evangelion- WTB was that ending?? I think I have to watch the series again, but I doubt it'll make more sense. Serial Experiment: Lain- I catched it on tv on the 3rd? 4th? episode, so I guess it doesn't count. I tried watching it, but it was just bah humbug. Aaaaand I think that's it.

I agree... Evangelion is the most confusing, for sure... ~_~; Especially the movie, The End of Evangelion. =S Still, it's one of the best anime movies I've ever seen! >_<

| I understand how everyone feels because i have experience it myself. Some anime have confusing storylines and u have to watch another time to really understand the contents of the anime. I cant really remember which anime caused me much confusion cause i have seen many but there r some which have confused me. |

I don't know if FLCL counts, but i couldn't see the significance in half of the stuff that went on in that anime.  |

There's a difference between a confusing storyline and pure random insanity... ~_~; I believe FLCL belongs to the second group. o.O

FLCL was a weird and twisted coming of age story. Eva's ending wasnt that confusing after watching Death and Rebirth and End of Eva, pretty much, Shinji gets to make his own world and stuff like that. Air's ending was a bit confusing.  |

Evengelion... I didn't understand it one bit. And Earth Girl Arjuna... the whole plot is either so simple that i missed it, or it's so complicated that i'll never get it.

Most confusing anime and still is for me is LAIN...what the @#$%! was going on in that show....cool series but geez...my brain hurts.  |

Jinki Extend probably. Too many flashbacks that i don't know which was the real incidents taking in... I haven't watched it until the end though..  |

Paranoia Agent is about what happens when people in society take something that may or may not be true and use it as a convenient excuse. The message gets through at the end even though the middle of the series through the end could only have been kept together by someone's wild acid trip. At least that's my take on it.
