I know what u mean Rukia_chan. The openings are normally more energetic/fast songs while the endings are slower. This is probable the tradition. However, not all endings are bad and not all openings are good. It all depends on what songs they r. For example, Gundam Seed Destiny's latest OP "Wings of Words" is less than the traditional Gundam Seed OP of "rock" songs. |

Traditionally, opening songs are faster than ending songs, but there are ed songs better than op songs, such as Naruto's first op/ed song combination. |

Yeah , it's probably because they use the opening songs to attract people to watch it or something like that... By the way, you HAVE asked me this question before , have you?
Life starts simply , why change them?

That's true. It's all good and traditional... Like GetBacker's first opening, and first ending. |

Most OP songs rock but there are a few exceptions. I like one of naruto's ending songs than one of the OP and Star Ocean is the best example i can give. Star Ocean OP is nowhere as good as the Ending Tune |
Re: op songs always seems better than ed songs

I think that there is a tendency towards better Op songs than endings, but to say that they're ALWAYS better is a huge overstatement. For example, all of the Rurouni Kenshin opening songs sucked, while most of the endings were good ("Heart of Sword" is one of my all-time favorites). Also, the Full Metal Panic! closing song, "Karenai Hana", was better than the opening, and the closing from Last Exile was just as good as the opening...and these are just a few examples, there are many more. However, I agree with you that in general, opening songs tend to be better. I think the reason for this is simple: they're at the beginning of the show, so more people watch them. How many times have you skipped an ending, even if it was good? Probably more than a few times. But how many times have you sat through an opening theme to get to a show? Probably almost every time you watch it. So, if more people are going to see the opening then the producers are going to spend more time and effort on it, it's as simple as that. |

i think it is the other way around coz the op song we always hear it instant of the ending song coz when the anime finish or to be continued.. you will defently skip to the next episode or turn off the program.

The openings are mostly faster than the endings, but that not means that the ending are bad, sometimes a calm song is better that a faster one!!!

This is based on an opinion and not a fact, and i cant really say anything for or against your statement since it depends on the anime title. Hell, most of the time out of 4 opening and 4 ending songs i like 2 and 2.

It really depends on who's listening and the anime. There are times that you like the op or end theme coz of the anime itself. We have different music preferences so dont generalize your statements. I personally like end themes better than the op themes bur there are exceptions too. Yuragu Koto Nai Ai of Getbackers for example. |

It really depends on the type of song that you like. I agree with oldcrow. Rurouni Kenshin's Op songs sucked. I liked the end better...

I'd agree with the inital statement in most matters except for Kesenai Tsumi from FMA. |

o_O i think theyre both good, but... IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOUR TASTE OF MUSIC. |
Re: op songs always seems better than ed songs

Well, in case of Naruto in this season, i prefer the ending song speed than the opening no boy no crie, and both are great rock songs |
