One question...
|
Hello, I'm kinda looking for comments / advice. I am about to become a freshman in college and I would like to become a doctor (general practitioner), however I would very much like to formally learn Japanese and use it one day... so I thought why not combine the two and someday, perhaps, become a doctor in Japan. What do you think? Oh... another thing, being an African American (this is an honest to God question) would I have to expect (I know it is every where and there are no better words to ask with but...) racial discrimination and or problems (such as people not trusting me as a doctor)? |

Good for you. I hope to go and work in Japan someday. I think it's great to be a doctor in Japan. I've heard that the Japanese people are very respectable so I'm guessing you don't need to worry about racism. Hope you do well in Japan. |

oo, i wanna become a doctor too, and perhaps one day in the future learn japanese! however, i'm thinking of instead simply taking a course in the late future for the whole japanese thing, because i'm going to have my hands full with pre-med! >.< but yah, i know that my friends are interested in a program where they learn japanese in college {not like they didn't know it already, they're up to their shoulders in kanji and lettering books!!! [seriously!]}, and then they go to japan and become teacher aides or teachers in japanese schools, helping teach english and whatnot... there might be a program like that for medicine, although i don't really know if it's likely... hey, it could happen! but still, if that's what you want, put your heart into it and you will succeed. i have faith in you!
nya........... hehe.
