The value of....
Link | by lady_rin on 2005-08-29 07:40:51
I found this place this morning and it seems to be very interesting with lots of poential for some very interesting discussions. On that note I shall try to start one.

What is the value of a kiss? Is stealing a kiss permissible or is it tantamount to a real theft?

I do have my own opinions however I don't want to colour your responses so I shall save mine for later.

Like anything else, without pores into it, a kiss is nothing but a headbutt, but just with the lips.

Well, a kiss is a physical contact, an imtimate physical contact at that. If the person, usually the girl is ok wif it then it's probably ok, but if not, stealing a kiss can be charged as sexual harassment. Lith, nice way of putting kissing (like a headbutt... lol)

headbutting, that's kinda violent!!! >.<

but seriously, i think in even one kiss there can be worth. of course, that is if it's heartfelt and meaningful.... but sometimes innocent kisses can be damaging if they're misinterpreted... yes, i think we ALL know from experience in some way or another.... and for the seemingly-inexperienced chicks like me {okay, okay, so maybe i HAVEN'T locked lips too many times, give me a break, HE WAS CREEPY!!!!}, a kiss may be too sudden and whatnot for it to actually make sense..... yeah, i'd get confused if someone stole a kiss from me.. and i would probably blush a lot too. geez.

nya........... hehe.

It may be a headbutt, but there is principle of kissing only the one you love. Even if you can wash your mouth you cant change the fact that it happened.

Punishment for stealing a kiss should be 100 year torture plus gruesome death.

If the girl's ok with it then I guess it's fine...since I'm not a girl then I don't really know how girls would think about it...

A kiss means nothing or everything. Sometimes it might mean the love you have for the one you kiss, sometimes it's just for fun.
But a kiss has true value, it's a very personal contact between two people, that is usually followed by a feeling of love or passion toward each other. That's why hookers never kiss their clients!!!!!!

And stealing a kiss is wrong...in fact stealing is wrong, period.

Ranger was my first kiss, I was 20. Before that I had gone out with friends who arramged a date so we were together. All of those boys tried to steal (through deception) or straight out take one, never suceeding. It seemed to me that their only interest was 'extracting me from my clothes'. I consider that stealing. Busy mouth and busier hands trying to take what wasn't theirs.

Ranger on the other hand I'm still not sure if he stole that first kiss, or just took it (is there a difference), maybe I did give it to him. As they say it knocked my socks off. A kiss belongs to a girl. It should not be taken without being offered or asking for it.

The penalty for stealing a kiss should be being taken out to Pinto Basin and left there. Those mountains are 26 miles away.

Well i think if the guy just kissed the girl even though he doesnt love her then i think its wrong because trust me that could lead to serious misinterpretation. But if that guy really did love and care about the girl then i suppose the "steal" of the kiss cant be too damaging.

Kiss is done by most people everyday. If a person kiss you on your forehead, that means that he treats you as her daughter, heheh...
If in your cheek, then your friends
If in your hand...someone told me that grand children does that to their grand parents,...but if it is in our lips...it depends...
for some people it is normal but for some, there is a hidden desire, shhhhhhhhhhhh…

A kiss can be more intimate than sex. It is a sharing like tears or other emotions. A kiss can bring people together. A kiss can also be tantamount to rape. I don't like stolen kisses, and I don't know why I should be subject to them yet I am and not from my husband. A kiss may stolen however it should only be someone you allow to. A girl can say, "It's OK to steal a kiss". by the way she behaves by her body language. Then it's alright. Otherwise it's the same as anything else, it belongs to her until she decides to give it away or allows it to be taken.
