Lol... you gotta see it to believe it... the difference probably from the DotA map is that: -You can see the Characters Avatars equipped with the weapon they are currently carrying (ex.: You can actually see the characters wielding a spear...) -Its a bigger map... -Another plus is that they really put a lot of work editing the chars... you can see that they actually tried to edit existing Warcraft avatars to match the Naruto characters  Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

Sorry man... I got my Naruto Wars v3.0c from a net cafe... I tried searching but ended up with an earlier version of the game... (and it doesnt even feel like DotA) I would like to upload it so you guys can DL it... However i dont know where... do you have a YM? ill upload it from there if you want Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

... like I always say there are better maps out there. the gameplay of DotA is... pathetic to say the least. It's the worst ever AoS to be released thus far, and deserves no credit at all. And guinsoo deserves to be shot. You have been warned and DotA shall be placed in front of a firing squad of critique here. Believe me.* The reality of it all is how people follow what is popular. Yet most do not realise that popular does NOT equate to good. How many actually know the original creator of Defense of the Ancients? I would say at least half will only give a blank stare. I bet you guys don't even know the actual mini-plot behind Defense of the Ancients. The game by itself is really sad. It's all about item whoring, who's 13373R and to sum it up, just a major clickfest of hack and slash. The only evidence of teamwork I see is "You. Go away. This is MY lane.". Damage output by heroes is ridiculously high that spawns matter no more, which was the original concept Eul had: assist spawns in sieging. You want some real teamwork? Go play ToB and EotA. Now on the more technical part, DotA is a total rubbish in itself. And guinsoo has the gall to say that his idea is made "from scratch, and only spiritually follows Eul's work." Hero concepts, triggers and even items are also blatantly pilfered from other sources. Case in point: Cranium Basher is a Diablo 2 unique maul. ToB and EotA are a much better expression of good and original hero concepts and triggers. Know a popular one, but even more so know a good one.

point taken... the actual teamwork i do actually see is when they try to connect the different skills... however.. you tend to forget that a game sucks if you see everybody having fun... Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

it's no different from a few gangsters beating a poor boy up and having fun. of course it isn't a crime in this sense, but the idea is there. I don't see what is so "fun" about getting all the right items. It's sad to see people playing something as low-grade as DotA when there's way better stuff out there. and I emphasise that guinsoo is a profanity. nobody has seen the real stuff till they play classic Defense of the Ancients. and actually see the short intro which comes before the game starts. only available on DOTA version 1.5 and older.

played EotA... you mean DotA was designed to be a "assist spawns in sieging"? this game is more balanced than DotA... why didn't other people see this? i could point out reasons to why people liked DotA better - easier - the overpowering items - no worries to the upgrading, expanding the bases concept - and more heroes (is this the recent version EotA release..? i Kinda like it...) There isn't much of a learning curve to an AoS in the first place if you ask me. at most, it's just practice, and good fingering, micro-ing and macro-ing skills. The sad reality is people like DotA because it's "popular and everyone's playing it". I wouldn't have said the same of EotA or ToB because I know those are the ones which involved lots of work, not ripping them off someone else and/or some other map, or some other game even. If you want me to put it simply, DotA was just some slipshod editing and copy + paste work by guinsoo. WHo deserves no respect whatsoever, save for turning many people into believing that he's a god. Well Lu Bu if you play DotA Classic you'll know what I mean. Already with EotA you'll have noticed that the game isn't won by JUST your hero. There's tons of other stuff involved. As for the EotA query, yes that's the most recent. check the website given during the intro with the Tauren Chieftain for more details. for Classic Defense of the Ancients (as a gentle reminder, ROC only) http://www.wc3sear.ch/index.php?p=Maps&ID=2707&sid= and note that due credit to Eul was given.

Of course there's the usual blip in AI for you exploit all the time, but I'd say they're at the very least below average and can beat the most unseasoned player. have you tried Tides of Blood as yet?

| hmmm?? i'm a first time poster here, but i saw this thread, i have never gotten computer heroes to even work on DOTA, EOTA, or Naruto Wars....maybe im just to stoopid? :( but out of the 3.....hmmm Naruto Wars is my favorite for now, DOTA got old quick. |

what bug is it? I've never had any bugs... Computer Heroes work on EotA. heck about DotA. It doesn't work for ToB though =/

make sure you try Tides of Blood as well. and DOTA Classic on ROC.
