I think it's a mood thing. Sometimes, I'm in a real mood for reading and I'd prefer my mangas over any other form of entertainment. But sometimes, good 'old fashioned' TV just can't be beat, so I'll pop in an anime DVD. More recently it's been Manga over Anime because I've been in very pensive moods which encourage sitting and reading rather than flashing lights. | Manga, just because there is always more in the manga. If you want the full story just read the mangas. I love anime though and I wish they would show more in animes. Oh well, maybe sooner or later. |

I like ANIME more than manga. I'm lazy when it comes to reading. I like anime because, yeah, it's moving...

I like manga because it's usually better quality than the anime adaptions/spinoffs. I like anime because it moves and it has pretty colors. |

i kinda like manga more than the animated series... Manga is the more original and complete version of the title... (besides... anime nowadays tend to degrade as the series continue... have you seen "He is my master"? i pity that show... Another title gone bad was Mahou Sensei Negima... i liked the voice acting... but the animation pretty much was weak...)  Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

I like anime better. Reasons: music, voice acting, sound fx, color, no flipping pages, movement, easier to get, sit back and watch rather than hold in your hands, weak animation better than none. Manga is better for: a whole whole lot more content, takes up less space, always ahead of the anime, and no worring about if the creators do a bad job making it into an anime. I hate it when animes end suddenly or leave unfinished story leaving you so you have to read the manga. Inuyasha, ranma, Berserk, Fruits Basket, Flame of Recca etc the list goes on. But usually people like which ever one they watch, read first better because they get more story out of it the first time.  Jomunga eats your avatars. |

| I like anime better because i've never read manga before. The only thing that puts me off manga is that i'm 2 lazy to learn a new language if they don't translate it. |

I prefer manga for my drawing purposes while anime for my viewing purposes but most of all i like manga cuz u can see the real view of the characters and the story is completed in that format unlike anime who have always submerged ending.

For me,I prefer manga. Because manga show the real artwork of that artist such as handwritng, drawing or sketching skill and even colouring. |

it depends what anime/manga you are watching/reading. DNangel and saiyuki are so much better in manga form.RK and One Piece is better in the anime form. I guess it just varies...

ANIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! seems so much more real and so much easier to fantasise about...well..for me...im too unco to try and make the manga characters move in my head...so much easier with anime!!!! so swift!! the movements are just so much easier to comprehend!  |

Most of us here will agree that Manga is the better of the two, because the story in Manga, compared to anime, the story in anime is somewhat kinda "chopped" to fit in a preordained time and budget; whereas in manga the story is told in an umnolested form, if of course compared to anime. For example, I bought the DVD of Love Hina, watched and enjoyed it, and I also bought the manga. The storyline in the anime is a "summarized" version, as clearly evident in comparison to the manga.

i prefer manga - it's just more accessible to me. XD also, the beauty of the story is not distorted by annoyances from terrible voice acting or discordant music. |
