What was your first Anime?

The first scene of anime I ever saw was from Zone of the Enders, the little bit at the end of Dolores... in space... *tears up* I had no idea what that was, and it would be at least a year before I found the greatness of anime. My first entire series, marathon watched, of course, was Cowboy Bebop. I just couldn't stop - it was like crack! Then, I went to blockbuster and did the whole Trigun thing. And then, Onegai Sensei! And then... well, you get the message. So, what was your first ever glimpse of anime? Also, what was your first ENTIRE series?  Diciples of the Greyhound |

my first anime was Doreimon (that was 19 years ago...) then shows like Macross:"Do you remember Love" was shown in the TV i wanted more... and i got the anime that truly touched my heart... Nausicaa  Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

| My first Anime series has to be the dubbed versions of Speed Racer and Gatchaman (Battle of the Planets) that I would watch on Saturday morning on some of the independent tv stations around '83. I was about 7 and remember thinking how cool the action was eventhough I didn't really understand the story lines at that young age. Then there was the Robotech series that Harmony Gold released. i am still looking for the orginal Macross Saga Japanese version with decent subtitles. |
