In my opinion the English dub of Card Captor Sakura sucks balls. The voiceovers are just horrable(makes my ears bleed). Plus, the names of the charactors does not go well with them. It is a good thing that they released the subbed version on DVD. Card Captor Sakura in its subbed version is the best. Screw you Nelvana for ruining a good anime series(ccsnumber1fan takes a baseball bat and strikes the one who did the script upside his/her @%&#*!$ skull) Card Captor Sakura rules over all!!!!!!!! |

I remember when I saw a CCS episode on tv long time ago and it was dubbed. I remember Tomoyo being all jelous and envious of sakura having magical powers, and that she should have them. In the original version Tomoyo never did that, she was always rooting for Sakura being a good character. If any1 has the dub, did Tomoyo actually turn all sour and angry for an episode? It always is terrible when they completely change a character.  Jomunga eats your avatars. |

To my knowlage she never went all jelous of Sakuara. The english and the dubbed story lines are fairly similar cept alot of the relationships are changed. Eg,li syaoran wasnt gay for Yukito, neither was Touya gay for yukito. Tomoyo is still sakura's friend but I only get the impression of friendship not love. Rika's crush on the teacher is kinda left out. Also, syaoran's feelings for sakura were lowered to some friendship. Basicly all the negative aspects of relationships were removed. Which kinda sucks. Also, there were alot of minor changes, but nothing major. I know this because I was watching the sub vs the dub at the same time (dub-ed was aired on tv, and I had the dvd so I watched both to see the differences) You cant watch the dub and say you really know the series. Because the dub is like a diffrent version |

i haven't watch the dub but i heard that some scenes where deleted in the series...like the last part of the series...well i just heard it...well in any case they shouldn't have changed anything about it...it's not another version because is the same series. They just altered it... I don't think Tomoyo got angry with Sakura in any way...Tomoyo is the ultimate best friend. Always rooting for Sakura and always there for Sakura! I don't know about their relationship though if they really are...well... they look good together...  ^_^v PEACE OUT! |

| Cardcaptors and Cardcaptor Sakura aren't even the same show in my book T_T; nelvana totally butchered CLAMP's amazing work and pretty much screwed them over. (pardon my language, but I am very bitter about that show) |

It is Cardcaptor Sakura. Since I live in Asia, I know that it is called Cardcaptor Sakura. It's Cardcaptor Sakura in Chinese/Japanese(original)& Bahasa Malaysia. But, Cardcaptors is the butchered version of Cardcaptor Sakura. It is different in book version and DVD. If you are a CCS fan stay away from Cardcaptors, it is a waste of money. Believe me, I almost bought a cardcaptors DVD, luckily I asked to shop to test the DVD first.

Well the dubbed(US) version of CCS did suck, badly, unfrtunately this statement stands true for more then several animes that end up dubbed. For CCS it was the worst treatment possible. The only thing left in tack from the original was the plot of catching cards/sealing cards to protect/save the world and the fact that it was magical girl... *sighs* I'll list some of the biggest differences for those who think that it wasn't so bad or that there wasn't that much of a difference: Tomoyo-Madison, Kinomoto-Avalon Fujitaka-Aden, Meiling never had a last name(as far as I remember at least) Meiling was no longer Li's cousin(can't have cousins loving one another, it would just be wrong) she turned into his childhood friend. Relationships-No Yukito/Touya, no Tomoyo/Sakura because that would just not be suitable for little children(although anime isn't for kids!) Sonomi's character was completely changed... insteda of hating Fujiaka she had a mild dislike for him as well as jealousy and that was it... and the biggest difference-amount- I say this because there were episodes that were either completely left out (which wasn't uncommon in the second season/second run) or they squeezed bits and pieces of like three or four episodes into one and it caused for quite a bit of confusion at times. The best example of this would be the episode where Touya gives up his powers to Yue so he can stay alive and protect Sakura, but this one was left out(obviously b/c it was what Nelvana would call a "male love scene" something that wouldn't sit with parents everywhere..) but even through out the rest of the series they showed Touya as being tired and to viewers everywhere who hadn't watched CCS this caused confusion as to why as well as in one of the last few episodes where Sakura goes into battle against Eriol (aka Ely) and Touya faints (because he no longer has magic...) and then Ruby Moon said the line "Even after Tori gave you all his powers you're still no match for me... *evil smirk*" I odn't know about you but even when the show aired and I was like 7 or 8 or something like that I was still greatly confused? the first question that comes to mind then was When did Tori (Touya) give Yue his powers...? These are some of the biggest differences, there are many many others believe me, Nelvana didn't just stop there they continured onto small things and little details that would only further to distroy the series...

Let's forget about the name difference, because some people are just too damn lazy to learn to pronounce japanese names, let's focus on the story, they cut a whole episode (float card) because of some crappy reason I didn't understand, they cut out all the romance, CCS is suppose to be a romantic comedy, not a freakin magic show, Tomoyo can't sing, which I find extremely funny, and sakura sounds like some bitchy grade 9 slut, which I just can't accept. As if it wasn't bad enough to completely kill the series, they ruined the movie by changing... everything. Oh and one last thing, they cut any scenes where Touya and Yuki are doing anything even slightly homoerotic, just so the catholic viewers won't be burning their dvds and sending them to hell.

both in a way.# card captor sakura has some scenes that card captor doesnt have. and those scenes are nice. but i dont really like the voice acting of the characters in card captor sakura. only touya was good and li was good. yeah, i guess finally i can say that card captor was much better than card captor sakura in a way. oh card captor fans.... here is something special 4 u |

Yue's moon power should attract Syaoran, but it doesn't!!!!!!!!! What the fuck! It should because it's their moon powers!!!!! Syaoran's feelings for Sakura... waii... They cut off all the scenes and WHY THEY FOCUS SYAORAN MORE THAN SAKURA?!?!? Maybe Syaoran is too resistable... FUCK THAT CARDCAPTORS!!!!!!!!
