OK OK -- I dont know why there's a big tiff about who beats who and who's good at what. If you asked me they are both protags, they are both blonde, young and have their own personalities... I would dare say that ED is more mature - he was forced to grow up. His character motivations are that he had to be more responsible because he is the older brother, he also has the guilt of his brothers lost body. Naruto on the other hand still has his childhood before him. He is not forced to grow up - but rather he has to learn how to live with being an outcast. His will to prove his worth, to be acknowledged in a world where he feels alone. He is still growing up, compared to Ed rather than force him to grow up - lets him enjoy his childhood. Which in terms is also good, the intention I think is that you grow up with the character. Just like Goku, Naruto has his innocence, optimism, the do-gooder... I dont see why why it could be annoying.... What annoys me is Sakura (if she didnt train to be a medic-nin I would have wished her to be written off the story...) |

| I have to say Naruto because I admire his ability to remain upbeat and optimistic despite his troubled past and obscure future. The kid doesn't sweat the small stuff; he does what he can, when he can, while he can. Another reason is Naruto's inadvertent humorous quality. The kid is funny whether it be fostered by his cluelessness, ignorance, lack of skill or his obnoxious yet nosy personality. |

both because ed is good in human ways and naruto is good in animal (fox) ways

Definitely Naruto, reminds me of...well myself. Hopelessly in love with a girl who has no clue. Well maybe Sakura does have a clue but she's definitely not thinking about Naruto that way. Which is somewhat like my situation. So if you'll leave me alone now, I'll go cry in a corner. |
