Back Hole
|
If I was at point "A", and I directed the light of a flashlight to someone standing at point "B," and there was a black hole off to the side of the distance between point A and B, would the person standing at point B see the light. Since a black hole draws in light, then I would not be able ot see it. Then there is the argument that the person at point B would still see the light curve into the black hole since the beam is continuous. What do YOU think? |

a black hole is an enormous star which has collapsed in on itself due to its own gravity. the mass of the black hole creates a gravitational field. in general relativity, this field bends space-time. so, the light would travel in a strait line, which is intercepted by your friend at point B. however, if the black hole were to for some reason depart and move very very far away, you would notice that your flashlight is no longer pointed at your friend. that is because space-time has a new shape in the absence of the gravitational field. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Would the light be curved in the position where the black hole is located, then continue its original course(ex1), or will it get bent by the black hole's force, and curve in the direction that it bent and never returning to its original course.(ex.2) This experiment would be set on the very edge of the black hole's gravitational pull. 'A = Person A ' 'B = Person B ' '- _ = Light ' '@ = Black hole' Ex. 1: A. ------____----- B. @ Ex. 2: A. -----____ B. @ ----- |

well. Black Hole... An object with very strong gravity field. We can't see the black hole actually, except when it sucks star. Many people believe that bleck hole (or often said Worm HOle) is a connecting door to another universe. It's like a hole, sometimes it's open widely (when the gravity is on its full power) and sometimes it's closed. And i have read a book that states; if we can go trough the black hole, we will meet another universe that very different from ours, or we can say parrarel universe. ![]() ![]() |

Another Universe? I believe a Black Hole is a hole that drags stars into its centre or acts like the gravitational force upon Earth(obviousy much stronger). You can even say that the Black Hole is a door that leads to another galaxy or the other SIDE of the universe, not to ANOTHER Universe(then it would be called a Multiverse, which i doubt any scientist would believe). If you fold a paper in half and cut a tiny hole in the middle, then open it and write the letter "A" next to one hole and "B" next to the other, connect the sides so the side of the paper is in a shape of a circle or the holes are vertically opposite, you can either travel all across the paper from point A to point B or go through the hole to reach the other side where the other hole is located seeing as the gravitational pull is "millions or billions heavier than our sun". So in space you can travel years upon years to reach another galaxy or you can travel through a black hole to reach the same destination in less than a day. That would also explain how UFOs(if you believe in it)travel to Earth from another galaxy. Of course this is only a theory but it makes perfect sense, you can imagine how many blackholes(billions, since it is now believed that in the centre of EACH galaxy there is a black hole) there are in the Universe. |

red_rackham Let me just say one thing a blackhole does not lead to another universe or at least it has a very little chance to..what it leads to is the breaking point of space and time named the singularity every singularity is the same wieght and has the same amount of gravitational pull so your "facts" are stating that EVERY blackhole in our universe leads to the same place seeing as how every blackhole (not equal in size or shape) has the same singulatrty or in your case portal or gate to the other universe so what COULD be past the singularity...possible a realm of non existance or basicly more space strechted as you would stretch out a piece of rubber that is very tense and can break if it is pulled to hard <--- possible theory by a scientist (forgot his name)

ofcourse, noone's actually been IN a black hole and came out and told us about it, infact the closest black hole to us I believe is atleast a couple galaxies away? and humans haven't even gone past the moon, infact, there have been no successful moon landings after armstrong. ![]() I'll eat you. |

actually the closest blackhole is in the center of our galaxy and this is leading to a new theory that all big bang theories might be true\ we have recently discovered that in every galaxy we look at (new and old) there is a blackhole in the center and this means after a star explodes a blackhole is formed while the objects far (like planets) from it are then circling around suns who circulate around that! also from another perspective it seems that all the blackholes are revolving around something else (this last comment is a maybe because it seems like the galaxyies are in some sort of oval shape)

huh... right in the center huh? i didn't know that, but still, no person from earth has even gone past the moon... we're not gonna get to the center of our galaxy in any time soon. ![]() I'll eat you. |
