(I am not sure about that...but just I remember a bit of it. If there is anything wrongly explain, I am sorry for that><'') Lolita is a girl's name from a book.(It seems to be the German) She is a young girl about 13 years old. Later, Lolita is used for describing the girl about or under 13 years old. Moreover, Lolita can be used for describing the fancy costumes which look like some kind of doll clothes.

i like lolita dress vry much, budden i know, i'm fat.. cant really wear tat, in m'sia there hv a shop selling this kind of dress... my 1st dream of dress is Wedding dress, the 2nd is lolita~ like utada hikaru.. so nice~ luvely~ CUTE!!! |

hold on just a damn freakin' second, what the hell does gothic lolitas have to do with Japan? Gothic = German, Lolita = Novel by Russian Author. Both apparently NOT Japanese, unless i'm missing something. Bye the way, what i said above, ignore if you wish, Below contains a spoiler to the novel, don't read if you don't want it spoiled Lolita is a Novel by Vladimir Nabokov, about a well established scholar named "Humbert Humbert" who has an emotional attachment to a prepubescent girl. Humbert marries the mother of the girl Lolita, as an attempt to be near her at every given moment. After lolita discovers Humbert's affections towards her, she runs away in disgust, and was killed by a passing auto-mobile. Spoiler ended. Now the term Lolita commonly refers to under-aged girls, commonly used in Animes as a device to arouse the interest of viewers to gain ratings, some animes include Card Captor Sakura (yes i watched it because there's a little girl in it.) and Rizelmine.

yea i think its german too I have no clue wat it has to do with japan but im thinking its related to clothes wise. Umm does Tsubasa Chronicle clothes count? I also heard Sailormoon was a form of lolita thing too. And wat the hell Kawaii is the wrong spelling in Romanji. Did they take Hawaii and replace the H with a K? its really Cawaee but soo many people cant spell it right. and OOO hhh i like the Malice Mizer band they coolll... |

I like the Victorian (Vampyan) Gothic Style better. You know, the corsets and old-fashion dresses for women and French-style (clothes the French Noblemen wore, before the Civil War) clothes for men. The Japanese Goth style (Lolita) is cute |
