Beginner, Light, Standard, or Heavy?
Link | by Sohei Hien on 2005-10-29 12:08:49
Hey, I just wanted to know what level everone here plays DDR on. I'm normally on Light, but I can play a lot of songs on Standard, it just depends. So, I'd like your input, what level do you play on?

Uh I play Light most of the time but I've managed to so some Standards as well. I WISH I could do better but I can't afford a DDR for myself so I have to the arcade which I don't have a lot of time for. *sigh* ^.^

For me it depends, I can do challenge. I can also do up to Heavy on excercise mode. On the game mode i can only do light... sometimes standard.

This is how it goes for me.

Beginner: AAA
Light: AAA
Standard: AA
Heavy: A or B
Challenge: A, B, or C

Not so hard. DDRE2's the hardest one so far.

I haven't played standard in almost a year. I don't do doubles though, so I just keep it simple and fast. With a good pad, I could probably pass all the songs on an Extreme arcade machine on heavy with B's or better.

I usually play...

Heavy. What else?

Most of my grading ranges from....

7:A;AA
8:A;AA
9:A
10:B;C;D(working to get this kink out =P)

And as far as doubles go... I used to do 9's and pass with anything from A to C. Haven't touched doubles in months though.

For In The Groove, I can only do.. 9's. I think. Maybe a few 10's. Btw for those who don't know, a 9 in ITG, is like a 9.5 in DDR. 10 and above is just... sickening.

And if you want a quality pad, get a RedOctane Ignition 2.0 or.. if your a freak like me, buy a Cobalt Flux. I'm waiting on mine to be built...

Yeah. Built. $300 X_X. But it saves me the trip to my local arcade =).

Yes, I play on Ignition pads, I've gone through 2 and am working on the third. I will get a metal pad eventually, if for nothing else it will save me money buying a new ignition pad every 6 months, which is about how fast I wear them out.

well i can do any level and survive well. i have ddr max 2, and i have done every song on every level with at least a "B" but most "A"'s. i did them on the pad, i was gonna go back but im lazy, and the only reason i did was cause i was getting bored.

Re: Beginner, Light, Standard, or Heavy?

Hmmmm...what I play or what I can survive?? Hehe, cuz u'll get two diff answers. ^^;;; I normally play on standard in the arcades and stuff cuz if you don't pass then it's byebye $1.00, however, at home I play on all levels. Challenge mode can be a b!tch though, and nonstop mode. I normally get side-pain before I finish the whole thing!! lol
