Evangelion hands down...it came out before Rahxephon and also, Rahxephon is taking the basic storyline of NGE, therefore its a COPYCAT! :o..and thats why Evangelion is better :D....yay for NGE

Can you like, tell me a short synopsis about Rahxephon? I really haven't heard of it before... ^^ Sounds nice if it's like EVA.

I've seen both. Both series are great but i enjoyed Rahxephon more. Yes, they are very similar but Rahxephon does have its own unique aspects. Also, just because EVA came out first doesnt make it better. Thats kinda like saying that having a horse and buggy is better than a car because it came out first. I personally thought the Rahxephon plot made more sense than the EVA one. I wouldnt say its a copy cat, rather that its like taking something that is already great and possibly changing it or improving on it. For example, Pokemon and Digimon are very similar but also unique.

P.S. Can some one tell me why angels were atacking in EVA, i just dont understand. If someone can tell me, i would appreciate the anime more.

This is taken from AnimeNewsNetwork.com word for word. Not my work, credit goes to the site.

Rahxephon Plot Summary: In a world where time passes at a crawl and the blood of your neighbor runs blue, 17 year old high school student Ayato Kamina goes about his daily life within Tokyo Jupiter oblivious to the world around him, having been educated with the fact that the all civilization but Tokyo has been destroyed. But all that changes when the mysterious civilization "MU" invades his home, raining destruction down from the sky in the form of strange monsters called Dolems. The events that occur next will lead Ayato to the mysterious woman named Reika Mishima, to the truth of their existence, the discovery of what and who he is, and to the powerful angelic robot RahXephon.

EVA actually really makes sense; it's just that it's not that easy to understand and digest because it uses complicated and deep signs and ways to portray the thought of the anime which may I say, is very nice and deep. It has a moral and that is what it usually concentrates on. yet, it does so in a subtle manner--which sort of rare in animes. That is what makes EVA so good. So, mind me if I wouldn't think that any other anime could beat EVA in that aspect though, I would still like to be open-minded and watch them anyways. That's why I want to watch Hellsing, and Elfen Lied(did that make sense?). Now, you people have just made me want to watch Rahxephon. ^^

Rin

I very much agree with you. I thought EVA was very abstract when i watched it, more than just blowing stuff up. Its probably the reason i had difficulty understanding some of the plot. Its probably the only anime i have seen that makes me think. Its a change of pace from your average "Get into my crazy, huge, and powerful robot to defeat the crazy, huge, less powerful but still very powerful enemy robot to save the day and then get the girl and mate like rabbits and have 5 children, a white picket-fence house and a dog" type anime.

Also, why were the angels atacking in EVA? I dont think they covered that in the anime or maybe they did and i missed it. Thats been bugging me for a while.

according to some stuff that I have read in the internet before, the angels weren't actually attacking, the EVAs were. You see, adam is the first angel and it is believed that having an angel make contact to adam will cause the 3rd impact. Now, the angels want to go back to adam (or something like that..) and NERV was created for the prevention of another impact (that's what they show, or what they want you to think in the series) therefore, they fight angels so that the 3rd impact won't happen.(Again, that's what they want you to think..)

BTW, have you watched the movies? (Death, Rebirth, End of Evangelion)Mostly, all stuffs are revealed there. If you could understand it, you can understand most likely everything that happens in EVA.

How old are you anywayz? I'm 14... ^^

The Eva live action movie is coming out in late 2006. The production studio behind the lord of the rings films is working on it. Check out concept art at WETA Workshop's website. GOOGLE IT. www.weta.com or something...

BTW I'm 15. Rin is completely right about the EVA story! I'm ahuge eva fan and just got into Rahxephon. I love the music too.

What actors would be good in an Eva film? What about Rahxephon?
Personally: Gendo Ikari- Hugh Jackman
Misato- Jennifer Gardner, Kaji- Keanu Reeves or Edward Norton

I don't see why not. It's guaranteed to be released in the U.S. and Japan. Other countries will probably get it too, depending on the production studio. Although if it's a Hollywood film based on an anime, would it not be right to have a mostly Japanese cast, for the sake of authenticity? I mean, can you imagine any American actor portraying Shinji or Rei well?

BTW, Peter Jackson( Lord of the Rings director) might have a hand in the movie since King Kong is finished. WETA Workshop is connected to him somehow. Just a rumor though.

i've searched the web and in some forums, they have doubts that it'll be any good. and, some even think that they are all just rumors. and, some even say that the director and the writers won't be the same as the original eva---making the movie "suck". they also say that it's just going to be a live action Death and Rebirth or something... well, anyways, here are some info:
*from animenewsnetwork.com
-Adding complete credibility to this story is the quote from ADV Films president and co-founder John Ledford: "The three main players here represent something of a dream team for a project like this. Between the quality and significance of Gainax, Weta's industry-leading skill in visual effects and our expertise in the marketing and promotion of anime and anime-related content, this project is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
*from an anipike forum
-Anime Insider reported it will be a seiries run through. Its gonna be likea live action Death and Rebirth^^
- this movie is NOT a low-budget movie. Repeat: this movie IS NOT a low-budget movie! Whether or not it turns out as good as I would hope it to be, I'm gonna go see it. As far as actors go, I hope they get some decent people without just picking popular actors to draw a bigger crowd.

there... ^^

Will eva fans be willing to see a clip show with real people and a big budget? I don't think it will "suck", but it might be too bold with Eva for the fans to enjoy it. Then again, who wants to watch the exact same thing they already read or saw for the past several years? They need to find a good balance, dont you think?

For me, I wouldn't mind at all if it was exactly like the EVA before since that one was already great. But now, what I wanna know is what would the people who don't know EVA yet, think about the live action movie after they see it? Do you understand my point? ^^'

Here, if you were an innocent soul and haven't watched the EVA anime version yet and, you go watch the live action one, what would you think about it?

The second people first see Adam on the cross, they will be scarred mentally! EVA is quite a head rush all at once, but if people are open minded, it should be loved. I think more casual viewers will enjoy the movie than the fans. Fans are so used to the anime that the movie might disappoint. Newcomers to EVA will enjoy it more probably, but they will be VERY confused. EVA's tough to understand at first, since the story is hidden all the time. The problem is since EVA has a lot of religious references, it might piss off religious groups. I hope it doesn't suck! ^o^'
