Which is the best when we compare this two games? From the story line to the personality of the character, which more outstanding? |

I personally think that FF7 is an awsome game, but wasn't as impressed with FF8. FF7 has great gameplay and a wonderful storyline, whereas, although FF8 has a great storyline too, it's gameplay is horrible. I just don't like the junctioning system and never will.

FF8 the junction system gave you control like never before my squall can absorb all the elements and has strength and speed of 255

| I liked both games really. I think that FF7 had better characters. I liked the story line in both. I hated the fact that the mosters leveled up with you in FF8. I did like the side quests in FF8 for the summons though. Those were fun. I guess to make a sure judgement I would have to play them both over again... |

I like the gaming experience of FF7 more, But i loved the story more in FF8 than 7  |

i played FF8 first so wen i played 7 i thought the graphics were crap and I like the junction system a lot so i rly liked FF8 but i liked the story of 7 better.. overall i like them both.. Rinoa and Tifa =D  |

i like rinoa and tifa!! hehe.. i prefer final fantasy 7, because the storyline is great, and i find it confusing at first.. and what i hate about ff8, if we leveled up, so does the enemy! then for what do we level up all the time?damn.. for the graphic, ff8 is amazing.. what do you think? |

| FF7, this is best FF in the world, if you search about it, FF7 is the no.1 FF, followed by FF 10, X2 and the VIII. |

FF8 wins because 1. better graphics 2. junctioning system gives you total control. 3. enemies level up so that bosses are actually hard. the FF7 ones were so puny weak and easy. 4. better soundtrack. 5. Triple Triad!!!!

| There is only one reason I liked FF7 more than FF8. FF8 had that stupid draw system that I hated. Ugh, it was so annoying to draw to get magic.... Other than that I really liked FF8. Well I shouldn't say that's the only reason because I liked the materia system in FF7. Also, when did we base what's a better game by graphics? So if they remade FF7 for the ps3 which do you think would be better? |

hmmmmmmm well i prefer ff8 because it was my first rpg i played in my live but i admit the story of the ff7 y better and it has the "i dont know what" of the final fantasy series but the 8 is a lot much larger than the 7 i think this cuestion will never have an answer but as i said the ff8 has a very special place in my memory thing that the ff7 didnt conquer(sorry for my awful english ^^' xDDDDDDDD)

Both FF7 and FF8 have good storylines and character personalities. I agree with some of you people below as FF8 is better in terms of: -Graphics -Better Soundtrack -The new "Draw magic" and junction system.  |

I played FF8 when I was a wee lad, So when I think about it it gives me happy childhood memories. I guess its ff8 that steals my vote. The characters seemed to have more personality in FF8 And the little SeeD missions were fully enjoyable. Ahh.... FF8. *wipes tear away*  Everyday above ground is a good day  |

Both games are great whenever it comes to adventure, characters, and just about everything. I like both games equally, Final Fantasy 7 because it was my first Final Fantasy game and it's just an incredible story and Final Fantasy 8 because of the gameplay and the character development.
You need a reason to be sad. You don't need a reason to be happy. The secret to happiness is to face the fact that the world is horrible.
