Planning to buy PS3?

I think the cd's from PS3 cannot be pirated already so its hard to buy more games hehe. Release 2006 for more upgrades i think. they want to beat xbox360's graphics. How much will the PS3 cost?

If the people at Sony can deliver the expectations that they're showing us and not just hype....i'll be buying it without a doubt. I hear it WILL be EXPENSIVE...they're even planning to scrap some of the capabilites to lower the cost...but i also hear they're gonna wait to see what the Xbox 360 does then decide on the price...if the 360 sells well then they have to match it...if not then they can say any price they want.  |

I'll mostly likely get the Nintendo Revolution and Xbox 360 fist, then I'll get PS4 so I can still play all of the PS2 and 3 games ^_^  |

i heard that you cannot use 2nd-hand ps3 cd on your console since the console rendered an authentication code onto the cd.so u can only play the cd on only ONE console and that's the first console that read the cd.kinda troublesome.but i'd probably still buy the ps3 |

It'll be like the difference between PS1 and PS2. Way better graphics, more options, more this and more that. |

If there is an authentication code, it rules out the chance of renting games to see if they're any good before I buy them. If that's the case, then I probably won't buy a PS3. But I don't doubt them on the graphics and gameplay. They are planning on using some technology called Blue Ray Disc, or somthing like that, its supposed to hold alot more than a DVD.

lol, I have the same situation! Well.... the Gamecube originally was 150, but was lowered to 100 after time. Maybe the PS3 will be $400 or so, but go down to 300...? |

i want to, but probably not. its gonna be damn expensive, at least $400 i'd say (probably more) for the blu-ray disc'ed using ps3. dunno much about blu-ray discs, heard it can hold around 20-30+ gigs of memory...  Light... it can't end like this! |

I know someone who did that. Sold their PS2 in preparation for the PS3. They sold it early so that there was still a strong market for it. He figured, the price would bump down a ton once the PS3 comes out. Good thing they're backwards compatible. I think I'm gonna wait a while. My bro's claimed that he's gonna get one right away, which works for me. I'll just leach off him until the price goes down. He leached off me for the PS2, so I figure it's all good. |

To answer ケイ's question, I think you can maybe sell it for less than 50. Probably 50 at the most around most places. Almost everyday it loses the value, especially since PS3 is gaining popularity.  |

| If you're going for PS3, prepare to fork over a lot of money. I've heard its the most expensive of the next generation of console, and if my memory serves me right, its over $600. Dont quote me on it though |
