Which Suikoden series do you like best?

I love the Suikoden II. Definitely the best suikoden game ever. The third and fourth game are trash! I only played it to complete the story.
dunno what to write now...
oh yeah... i'm gonna be crazy now...

The same here, suikoden II was a great rpg, one of the best for the PS IMHO, sadly I didn`t have the chance to play the first one but I have heard good comments about it. It`s a shame what they did to the series with the third one, story was not that bad but the gameply sucks all thw way, specially in army battles. As for the fourth one, well I didn`t wanted to played after the huge dissapointment of the third game but I give it a chance and to no surprise it still sucks, but at least they fixed some of the thing they had screwed and it gave me some hopes to see a completelly fixed fifth episode. |

you'll be happy cause the six player combat will return. let's just hope that the fifth will attain the same glory as suikoden II.

| same here, suikoden 2 is what brought me into this series, it made me played 1 and imho 1 & 2 are much better than 3 & 4, now playing tactics |

Suiko 4 IMO. I like the ship battle. And the return of Soul Eater. For stories, i like suiko 1 better. Suiko 3 have the best runes ever. Suiko 2 is the hard and good one.  |

Suikoden II! =) You can have McDohl recruited in your party if you have a save file of Suikoden I. @ Ryustaris (provided after completion) McDohl has this enigmatic dark rune, Soul Eater, which kicks arse! |

It's probably Suikoden 1 and 2... they felt more "epic" than the others... Suikoden 3's battle system was probably one of the worst... Suikoden 4's random battles were pretty much.... repetitive and annoying... However... Suikoden V seems to go back to the olden roots of Suikoden and brings back the 6 character team and the old battle system... (based upon videos...) it is also said that it is probably a Prologue (again....) of Suikoden 1... (with Characters Lorelai and Georg shown in their "Younger Years")  Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

| suikoden 2! it really was good...playing your character from a mere soldier, to a rebel leader, to a king(in one of the endings anyway) and the characters were somehow memorable...also the "war" scenes were cool.... |

| Suikoden 1 and 2. I loved both games. The characters in both had a lot of depth to them, and so did the story, which had more plot twists than you could shake a Wind Rod at. |

Suikoden 1 and 2 especially 2 worst is 4 playing right now is 3, when you look at it it's looks bad but in the end it's good and if you've played 1 and 2 you should play this as it connects good with 2  ･ﾇ｡ｼ･ｿｽ､ﾀｵ｡｡ﾄｹﾌ醢ï½ï½´ãƒ» |

So far I've only had a chance to play III and IV, and I can say that III is much better in terms of story, presentation, and a number of other factors. Most of all, I liked how in III each star of destiny seemed to have a special significance. In IV you would just walk up to random, non-generic people standing around, talk to them, get a really simple choice, and WOW! they're recruited. No, in III your stars actually formed significant subplots. Like the whole ordeal with Guillaume. I loved how you found him at the Gate of Cyndar and he was tapping it with his trident, then Hugo, down on his knees is ironic disgust, says simply, "It's Guillaume..." That was great. Scenes with Lilly were always great, and there are dozens of other moments I could cite. That was what kept me hooked on III. The combat system wasn't so bad, IMO, and I really liked moving about in a three-dimensional environment to attack. That and the Skills system was a great way to customize characters. That was another thing lacking in IV. |

i like suikoden 2 and 4, i dont have a chance to play the first.. and the third.. i dont like it..because the play is kind a slow i think.. can anyone give me more opinion about the third? |
