The Chinese myth about boy-girl twins...
Link | by Aki Kaede on 2005-11-19 00:44:20 (edited 2005-11-19 00:44:39)
Do you guys know about the Chinese myth behind boy-girl or dragon-phoenix twins?

Well it is that these twins were actually lovers in their past lives and they committed suicide together as they could not be together. That is why some (only some) do not like to have these dragon-phoenix twins.

I find it kinda scary. But if its true, isn't it too cruel to the them (the lovers)?

Yin refers to women and Yang refers to men.

In Chinese supernatural stories, female monsters/spirits (erm... you get the idea) suck the "yang qi" or yang energy out of men.

It is also said that even numbers are yin and odd numbers are yang. For this you have to refer to your lunar birthdate.
