Pump It Up
|
I was just wondering if anybody has played Pump it Up. It is similar to DDR, but the directional buttons are in the corners instead of the four compass directions. Anyway, I found this video of someone doing one of the hardest songs at a competition that made me want to cry because of my obvious lack of talent at these sort of games. the video can be found at PIU_-_Unknown_-_Canon-D_Nightmare__No_Bar___A_ so you can watch it and let me know what you think. |

I've never found a PIU machine, so I've never had the chance to play it, but I would if I got the chance. Honestly though, I don't think I would like it, I'm already too used to DDR to try to rework the automatic reactions in my brain to get uesd to five pannels instead of four. |

I've been playing Pump It Up off and on since I got the import version of PIU Exceed for PS2 about a year ago. It's definitely more of a challenge than DDR, but that's mostly because 5 panels lends itself to far more complex step patterns than 4 panels do. Right now, I've passed most of the songs on Exceed up through L13, though some of the lower-level songs have me stymied, i.e. Beethoven Virus (stupid side-to-side jumps.) Also, is that suppoed to be a Rapidshare link? *chuckles* It was probably me that mirrored it there. |

Yeah, pump it up is alot of fun. There used to a machine in the mall near my house, but they replaced it with a DDR machine, so now I can only play at my friend's house (it's really funny, most koreans swear by pump it up, it's their little quirk).

Yeah that link is supposed to be a rapidshare link, but I can't get it to work anymore. anyway, it's a video where the kid gets an A on Canon-D on Nightmare without ever touching the bar, and he only gets second place at the tournament. |

not only are classical remixes awesome but so are their picks of music from international songs and k-pop. great for hiphop and breakdance |
