I've noticed there aren't many people familiar with this anime or the novel. To my knowledge, the novel hasn't been translated to English and I can't read Japanese or speak it. Thus, all I have is the anime. I love the anime. Sure, episode ten is lacking, but the overall story I thought was good. So, any other fans out there or am I some kind of odd ball? Also, if any one has the English or Japanese ending themes, I'd greatly appreciate a heads up and seeing if Gendou will put them in the archive. Same with the opening music. I cannot find MP3s anywhere and don't have the ability to make them myself. ~Kitsune

Actually, I've noticed there was that one too. I have yet to discover if they are both the same. Was the anime you saw about eight samurai that were the offspring of a human and dog marriage? And no, I haven't yet. I totally spaced on it when I had the chance. My friend currently has possesion of it and I can get the artists or titles of the songs. I know one of them is Blue Skys, but the artist escapes me. That's the song I -really- want. La sigh. Wish I hadn't lent it out... I really do. Because this was brought on by attending a local con called Nekocon and another friend there buying it and me not having it at home to watch...

I don't remember if they were dog-human people since I really wasn't that interested. The only thing I remember about it is that there were some jewel people which have the circular orb thingies and the main character is someone whom I can't say is a boy or a girl. I'll go search for it. BTW, mind helping me find the meaning of Hypophthalmichthys moritrix? ^^ m y . L i F E . i . t r a d e . i n . f o r . y o u r . P A i N . |

Well, they were beads with each of the laws of bushido on one. Each child of the marriage had a unique bead with one kanji on it. I know the kid that appears near the end is a scary and impudent little brat. It's a little confusing because they took a great novel and squished it into a 13 ep series. x_X The usual with books to cinema. And what in the blue blazes is a hypowhatzia? ._.'

here is one of the characters --> And, the reason why I'm asking is because I don't know what Hypophthalmichthys moritrix is... T_T m y . L i F E . i . t r a d e . i n . f o r . y o u r . P A i N . |

*Blink.* Whoa! Totally two different series. ^_^; Here's the DVD collection and this is a site of info on the anime (which I just found after some pain-in-the-rear go arounds, the other site I had not there anymore). At least now I can request songs. And I'm sorry. No way to help on the hypothingy. ^_^;

okeish... I just thought they were the same since they had beads with characters too. and, by reading the synopsis of that one site you gave, it's story is sorta the same... you should double check it ^^ EDIT: it is totally not the same... >.< m y . Which site? And if you meant double checking to be sure, I can tell they are different because the animation style of that anime isn't the same as Dog Warriors, not to mention the character person doesn't fit for 1400-ishy Japan. ^_^; It may be Shin Hakkenden used some of the novel plots as base, though. It's a loved classic in Japan, story is. ^_^ I wish they'd translate the book so I can read it. *Sigh.* But, no luck. I think if I harrass any more book stores they'll sick a hit man on me or somethin'. EDIT: LOL! I told you! XD

wahuhuhu... but, in Shin Hakkenden, there are also special round jewels there... So, other than the title, that fact made me think they are the same.^^ close topic then... (>^.^)> m y . L i F E . i . t r a d e . i n . f o r . y o u r . P A i N . |

Lol. Pretty much. Hakkenden is more dramatic and serious samurai stuff. Heheh. =3 I haven't met many people that have heard of it or watched it. So I made the thread to see. Heheh. You just covered something someone else was gonna run in to in the end. x3 All is well.
