Opinions on Yaoi/Yuri

Okay, I want to know honestly what your opinion is on yaoi and yuri. For those who don't know what that is Yaoi = boy/boy love Yuri = girl/girl love Okay? What I DON'T want you to do in this post is rant about personal hatreds and so on. That is immature and I don't really care. All I want to know is your opinion (given in a nice REASONABLE manner) and why. No flaming of other animes and characters. Seriously? I've seen some posts and be a little more mature people. Thank you. |

That's a good answer. I've noticed a lot of hatred going around with the genre and it's not like people to be so close-minded about it. LOL, I do it for fun too. |

Well... You know, this is just some kind of people's imagination, or fantasy... or i mean... it's not REAL. So... Yaoi/Yuri is somewhat people's creativity. That's what i want to say. At least, don't do it in the real world, That's all. |

I'm slightly uncomfortable with some of the pairings [Naruto & Sasuke] but overall, I think it can be rather interesting as well. My fave Yaoi pairing's Touya & Yukito from Cardcaptors Sakura. Some Anime guys resemble girls and as a result of this, it seems pretty normal when paired up with other guys.

Nothing bad. ^^ Poepl have their likes/dislikes. But I hate it when some people have to ruin other peopl's feelings. >.> I like Yaoi and I don't mind Yuri! ^^

Well, even most people can't argue with Touya and Yukito because it's been proven canon. Almost any good Cardcaptor Sakura fan would tell you that (and I've noticed most people accept this pairing very easily). I'm not into the Naruto fandom, but I believe there is some proof on that one as well. So I can't really say. ^^ |

I somewhat enjoy reading shounen-ai fanfics(not hardcore ones... pls) ... some makes me laugh though the genre is not humor... i dunno why... I'm not really a yuri fan... though I think that kind of relationship is found everywhere... someone told me that 90+% of girls go thru this kind of relationship... but I dunno again, for me... shounen-ai in anime seems somewhat cute and funny... shoujo-ai or yuri in anime is not my kind of thing...   |

I'm cool with it, I actually support a pairing...Kurama/Hiei...yup, so totally awesome, I don't have a yuri pairing I like, but it's all good. Well...Sometimes I don't mind Yaoi or shounen-ai(more appropriate)like Yuki&Touya...their rather kind of cute if you ask me...and maybe Kurama&Hiei...but I just try to ignore those pairings...I'm not really into shounen-ai... Shoujo-ai is intriguing...I think it's more complicated and it may have lots of possibilities... It's much more dramatic too... I think Yaoi/shounen-ai is rather accepted in the anime society and even most of the society in the world...and that's leave shoujo-ai into the dark... If you ask me, my fave shounen-ai is Yuki&Touya from CCSakura and in shoujo-ai it's Haruka&Michiru from SMoonS In this site, there's only a few people who likes shojou-ai...but I can't blame anyone about it coz everyone has his/her own opinion  ^_^v PEACE OUT! |

no. no. and definitely NO! Yuri/Yaoi is the worst pairing of all times. I can't believe people enjoy that. (Sorry to those who do) It gives me the creeps and shivers rise up to my spine whenever I see a hint of something like that. I can't even express in words the agony I get from seeing these kind of pairings! I can't and don't want to begin to see the "light of satisfation" they see when watching men with men flirting to each other and girls with girls as well... Yuck! *puking* I totally despise it. I deeply believe that a man-woman pair is the only combination possible. |

I have never had a problem with it in my anime and I feel it makes some shows hilarious or at least fun to watch. The first time I ever really noticed it going beyond casual flirting was when I was watching Saber Marrionette J. It made me uncomfortable at first but after watching I realized it made the show a better show. The show wouldn't have been the same without Hanagata constantly vying for Otaru's affections. There's plenty of anime out there with Yaoi/Yuri relationships that is not fullblown hardcore hentai. I think I'm the only straight guy I know that likes Gravitation. To me it's just fun to watch and at the end of the day that's all that matters. I don't any favorite pairings because I don't put a lot of thought into it beyond that.  Good? Bad? | Personally, I find nothing wrong w/ yaoi/yuri relationships. I think yaoi relationships can be very cute(like Gravitation-my favorite anime ever) if it's just flirting and simple kisses, but sometimes they can go overboard and get a little um... messed up? I don't really like yuri, but I have never seen an anime like that so I'm not going to say much about it. |

| I don't see anything wrong with either. It made me feel a bit odd at first, because homosexuality is such a big issue in its own special way. But I got used to it. It's not a big deal. Love is love, flirting is flirting, lust is still lust, no matter which genders are involved. |

Well, I'm a yaoi fan, so I don't have anything against it... Yaoi is just so damn cool! Yuri on the other hand is a different story. I just don't get the point of yuri... Plus, for me, yuri looks odd... |

it really doesnt bother me. i read a few and they were funny. probably cuz the onlyones i read where given to my by my friend and she only sends me stuff that will make me laugh.  |
