DOTCHI NO RYORI SHOW (Cooking Showdown)

| hi. I recently started watching a japanese show on Channel 18, KSCI on Saturdays at 8:00 PT called DOTCHI (and it's subtitled!). It's soo freaking hilarious!!! The jist of it is that 7 guest must choose between one of two meals offered. They go through the agonzing ordeal of watching it get prepared and how they get the best ingredients. Afterwards they cast their votes unknown to others. A meal that gets +4 votes gets eaten by the people who voted for it while the others who voted for the other meal only get the watch. It's soo funny! You have to see to get it. Anybody also seen it? |

| I think I might've seen that show somewhere. I think it was when I was in Narita, Japan. I don't really remember, my memory is getting fuzzy. Did they show that show in Taiwan? Maybe I saw it there....or somewhere. |

LOL you guys have seen it^^ i live in brazil but i ve seen some times its soooo cool isnt is? i love that there was an old tvshow called smap VS smap(smap is the japanese band very famous) it was so cool too |

My goodness, this has got to be the best cooking show ever. I mean, only the Japanese would come up with something so original as starving and enticing the participants before the meal but making them vote on which one they would want to eat the most and only the winners would get to eat it. Did I ramble? It's as if I was watching the show right now! That's all I ever do when I watch it: "Mom! Did you see just how the chef cooked the abalone just right? I want ours prepared the same way! I want it to be the same texture, the same color, smell, taste..." |

| I absolutely love this show, and the best part is watching where the ingredients come from (from only the best places/companies in Japan). Just watching the shows and the battles between for example, Zaru Soba v. Summer Somen-this meal had summer vegetables. I love it!! I love it!! |

i always watch this show! it's so funny when the opposing sides make fun of each other. i wish i could cook japanese food like they do... :[
