What's come in general in Gumdams?

I find that in Gundam is that in every series that come out, there is some guy with a mysterious mask. For example : in seed , 0083, original and list goes on. And another whats with the samre plot like some steals gundams. What else is there in common? but i like it anyway.

the pilot is usually a 13+yrs old newtype who "accidentally" stumbles upon a gundam(except for Shiro/Kou/Christina/Domon/etc case..). They are usually hot headed. Most of the gundams will be destroyed on the last episode(or when they get a new gundam / except V gundam since it gets destroyed so many times..). Most of the supposedly gundam pilot's girlfriends who appear in the middle of the series will usually die(really fast like 10 eps). Normal good guys pilot(Shrike girls/Astray girls) tend to die really fast(this one is really really fast). The final battle will be in space (except 08). AND THE LATEST TREND FROM BANDAI MARKETING - We need to have more than 5 gundams(+cute boys w/ big eyes and girls) in a show! and the new quote "only GUNDAMS can destroy GUNDAMS" lame... |

The main protoganist's gundam always uses the same color scheme(white,blue,red) and if there are many unique/custom gundams in the show, the protoganist's gundam will most of the time carry the standard looking equipment of a beam saber, beam rifle and shield.If the opposing side has gundams, one of them is always red. (exceptions being G Gundam and 0083... and maybe a few more) |

| Yeah . . . its also funny that the new Gundam Series like SEED and SEED Destiny are completly copying the whole Mobile Suit Gundam type of scheme . . its like New School is just an upgraded vers. of Old School. . . Actually the only series that is like its own originality is G Gundam. . .even though it was kinda lame. . . and i want to say Gundam Wing but those other examples REALLY narrow it down. . .lol |

| Turn A story and plot was pretty original and it has a semi-happy ending considering it was directed by Kill 'Em All Tomino :O oh and Gundam Double X and Nu Gundam's body wasn't blue~ =[ |

well although the general blueprint of Gundam Seed was same as the original Mobile Suit Gundam, the story took a huge turn at around episode 30 or so. That was why it got so popular. Well for me I always find that the Gundams of other characters rather than the main character's is always cooler....but still weaker. I mean common how can providence not kill freedom...but then again freedom looked pretty cool too....exactly like double x |

gundam general are head of gundam. Sunrise too smart, very extremely smart to make gundam head becaseu you will never mistook gundam for eva, armslave, orbital fram, guymelef, optimus prime or astroboy. once you see sunrise head, you will going to say, that is gundam. very distinct gundam head. |

The most general thing in a gundam series is... The plot have to be very interesting (exceptions for G-Gundam and GX)! Man... I miss the old series where Gundams supposed to be the ultimate weapon. The series nowadays always featuring 5 trademark gundams (like StupiD SeeD said)! G-Gundam is better cuz the serie itself has unique gundams and the originality that other series don't have... lol
