Funny - Fullmetal Alchemist and Shaman King seiyuu

I guess you'd have to be familiar with the basic plot of each of the above anime in order to find this funny, but it's not too complicated. In the original Japanese version of Fullmetal Alchemist, Edward Elric's seiyuu (voice actor) is a girl named Paku Romi (who normally does young male voices). Lust's seiyuu is Satou Yuuko. In the original Japanese version of Shaman King, Satou Yuuko plays Asakura Yoh, while Paku Romi plays Tao Ren. Just thought that was funny. ^-^ |

I didnt know Yuuko Satou played Lust! Thank you for informing me :D I did know she played Yoh, and that Paku Romi played both Ren and Ed. I love Paku Romi's voice, she's great. She sings great also, have you heard any Edward or Ren songs? :)    |

| Yes I have! I love them! Now, perhaps I'm just biased because I love FMA, but I like her songs as Ed more than her songs as Ren. She also has a song from Ragnarok called "Get Real." Satou Yuuko sings a song as Yoh, as I recall, called "With Determined Passion". It's okay, and she's a good singer as well. |

I was rewatching the earlier Shaman King eps the other day, and relized that Ren's dad and Ed's dad have the same voice actor as well! :D And I just feelt like mentioning that I lurve Paku Romi! She's great! Another of my favs would be Horohoro's voice actor. I don't know his name, but he's done a lot, for example Hojo from Inuyasha and Keitaro from LoveHina. And while we're talking about FMA seiyuu's... Is it true that it's the same voice actor that does Scar in FMA and Shigure from Fruits Basket? My friend told me this, but I dunno if I can trust her..... >.>

Did you also know that she played Temari's voice in Naruto? Look her up in Wikipedia, you'll find her complete seiyuu list. |

wait... toh is a guy and lust is a girl... if it's the same yeiyuu then they should sound half girl half boy... plus, i watch FMA and shaman king a lot... yoh and lust sound SO different... especially how yoh chuckles and that...

There're several female seiyuu that speciallize in playing young male voices. My favorites are obviously the 2 that have been said already, Paku Romi-san as Edward Elric and Tao Ren, and Satou Yuu-san as Asakura Yoh. I also like Maria Ross' seiyuu, Saiga Mitsuki-san, who does Date Kyousuke's voice from Soul Taker and Makubex from Getbackers (she also has songs as both characters, as do Paku Romi-san and Satou Yuu-san respectively). Oh, and Alphonse Elric's seiyuu is Kugimiya Rie-san. I haven't seen anything else that she's in, but I have heard her sing some songs for other series (Pita Ten, Rizelmine), and I can tell that she has different voices between when she's playing a little boy and a cutsy little girl. So, Bridget, they probably DO sound very different (I haven't seen the Shaman King anime so I wouldn't know), but that's on purpose. Good seiyuu can do that. |

| Paku Romi also plays Hitsugaya... old news i guess, but i must admit the style she used when playing those three is so different... I didn't even notice Temari's voice being dubbed by her |

haha. knew that Paku Romi played both Ed and Ren. the fact that Lust's and Yoh's voice is Satou Yuuko before this, was also very shocking. sound totally different. oh and i love Paku Romi's voice!! its kinda deep but nice. X) and unique! easy to recongnise ehh. no wonder had this familiar feeling when i first heard Ren's voice. [i watch FMA before SK]. yeahh, my favourite seiyuu is her! X]
