We have had a lot of new members join us since in the past few months and awhile back I started a "Photos of where you live" thread. I'd like to do that again. Since we still have a lot of dial up users please use clickable thumbnails or links. We live in the desert. Most people consider it a harsh and hostile place to live. High temperatures can reach 50c and we receive about 15cm rain a year. This is the nearest town, a village really, to where we live. It's another 15 miles to do any real shopping. My house (well, not really mine, I still live with my parents) is on top of one of the many hills in Knoxville, TN. Here's a picture from Google earth and a little challenge: Get on Google earth and see if you can find my house for yourself from this picture! Little Help: This isn't rotated to true north, it's rotated a little counter-clockwise from up-north correlation. And for the two of you on here who already know, kindly let others have their fun and practice some restraint. |
