What do you guys think of em. one of my mates hates em both, which is quite frankly mad. oh and can any users have piccys like the admin?
Only in America......do banks leave both doors open and then chain the pens to the counters

i want to see GITS2: Innocence. they showed previews of it on tv here in japan and it looks cool. i might even go see it in theatures! :D_

| I'm not too keen on either. As I'm a bit of a manga freak, I felt Akira failed to live up to it's manga counterpart. And with regards to GITS, well, I just don't like Masamune Shirow, though Stand Alone Complex wasn't too bad. |

| GITS is more focused in on it's topic. It was a bit hard to see what Akira was trying to convey. By the way Gendou, please tell me if GITS2 is as good as or better than the original? And how hard is ti to learn Japanese? |

| Having seen both, I my vote goes to Akira. GITS is a more challenging movie that makes you think, and that's great, but Akira is more entertaining and I can keep going back to it over and over again. However, I have also read the Akira manga from front to back, and after that, neither movie stands a chance to it. If you can, read the Akira manga, it's a bajillion times better than the movie. |

I like them both Akira is a classic and all in all a good anime. GITS is also a good anime and yes I would probably agree that it is a little better than Akira. |

Akira is better. I didn't really like Ghost in the Shell that much, they did some weird mix of computer animation and japanese anime that looked really weird to me. But to each in their own I guess ^.^

Im going to go with Ghost In the Shell, Stand alone complex, 2nd GIG, Ghost In the Shell Movie. I'm waiting for the day they Dub the second movie. I love the Ghost In The Shell series because it can get really complicated but really interesting.

As far as the movies go, Akira was more for the violence and GITS was a thinker. I like both but my vote goes to GITS. (Stand Alone Complex doesn't factor into my decsion but that was good too.)
This requires a unique combination of
psychology...and extreme violence.
