Fruits Basket is a game played by kids regarding fruits. Tohru Honda lives in the forest with her tent after living with her grandpapa in their house. Her mother died of a car accident while her father died of sickness. She lies to her friends about living in the forest. She finds the Sohma's residence and finds Shigure, the owner. She gets to see Yuuki Sohma, the high school crush of every girl in school. When they find out that she lives in a tent nearby, they interogated her and warned her that the owners of the land she's living on is the Sohma's property. When they found out that her tent was toppled down by a landslide, they offered her a short stay in the house of Shigure. They had a short time with her and changes went on while she was there. She took care of the household chores and soon she found out the secret of the Sohmas. They try to explain to her and she understood. She was warned by Yuuki that if she stays too close to the Sohmas, her memories will be erased. Akito's decission was to keep her close to the Sohmas and let her stay for a long time. He has a dark plot behind it. She meets along the way, Kyou. They enjoy living in Shigure's House and sooner Yuuki and Kyo falls in love with Tohru... The other Sohmas show up along the series and many obstacles are on the way... I still don't know who Tohru will pick... Can somebody tell me who it is?

I think she will chose Kyo... weo i hope she does anywaiz. lol! cz Tohru reminds me of my bestest friend and Kyo reminds me of my big bro!!! so its perfect *smiles* hu do you think she should choose???

heh heh. dats ok. do you know if they are going to make another season... i hard about a crane thing that was being done but i didnt hea if it worked or not... doyou know??

The rest of the story goes on in the manga series.. I think it reached 15 volumes..

oh really?! thats too bad, there are no places where i live that sell mangga or anime.. heh heh my brother lent me his cousins copy of fruits basket.. thats how i saw it. so they are not making any more? thats too bad

the manga reached 18 this year... 15's a long time ago. and it's very obvious that tohru'll choose Kyo. i think so. well, Yuki has his own Friends already. >"< i love FURUBA and i'm very concerned about the new devolopement... XD p/s: meow: she'll pick... MOMIJI? ==' which section made you think so? i still insists that tohru's KYO's! LOL

seen the anime and loved it, read a couple of the manga and havent been able to get hold of more scanlations. I marathon it at least once a year, I love the characters. Though my favorite characters are Shigure, Ayame and Hatori... Im strange. I actually only liked Kyo... out of main characters. |

yes.. kyo too because, he's the cat[tohru likes the cat]. and, the story now, revolves around tohru trying to break the curse. and, Yuki only sees tohru as a motherly figure and, Yuki does seem uninterested.. and, has another "ka-love team" in the manga.    m y . OMG.. I'm currently having a dilemma.. I think I like momiji better than yuki ..! after I read the last part of the wikipedia artcile about him.. it said there, he was eventually freed from the curse and he became physically and emotionally mature.. and it was written there that he had a romantic interest fot tohru as well.. and if kyou doesn't act soon, he may win her.. waah tohru.. [grr] it was also mentioned that momiji is perceptive and tactful which is true.. he eventually became a 'prince' too <-- like yuki!! he's so cute.. ^^ m y . I really like Momiji. He's a great character. I don't really think that Momiji would end up with Tohru. They're just great friends. Although I do like Tohru and Kyo together.
