Okay.........I know this is totally a shot in the dark here, because this forum has nothing to do with it, but I'm pretty desperate right now and am therefore dropping this message around various forums I visit........ Does anyone know anything about Quicktime here, generally or specifically? Because for the last couple of weeks, my QT has gone ape**** on me, and instead of working properly and displaying the things it ought to, it does this:  (I hope you guys can see this, if its not a link then copy/paste into new tab/window) See the QT icon with the white question mark on it? Yeah. That. Its doing that to everything from ads to videos... What the hell is that? It won't go away, no matter how much I fiddle with QT settings, and I also uninstalled/reinstalled QT, but nothing. Still this. I'm literally tearing out my hair here...........wtf is this?!?!?!?....... [mass apologies for my aggression and swearing, gomen! m(_ _)m]  |

Well, if your Quicktime isn't working, then get Windows Media Player, Winamp, or some other highly used one. That's all I can say... T.T PS: There, I fixed your image ^_^  |

Completely uninstall Qtime and then reinstall it. If that doesnlt work try to find Quicktime Alt. Also you should use Media Player classic.  |

It is because the QuickTime browser plugin is configured to play several different codecs and its probably a newer version orso that hasn't been updated yet in the QuickTime core. I found this website that has the same problem and a solution for it, with pictures: http://blog.skyzyx.com/2005/09/16/fix-quicktime-playing-flash-files-in-my-browser/ I suggest you mess around a bit with the MIME settings till it works, don't worry it will not break anything.
