Yeah, beef is good. Too bad oriental is better though :P Weirdest food ever for me... something healthy ^_^; Maybe a dried little worm thing though... |

| omgoodness! in my 8th grade, the teacher gave us an option of eating milk worms(actual worms that were edible) for extra credit!yick! im sure oriental is better that that! |

worms? o_o i remember that "boogie man" from WWE he was eating worms that were still alive x_x that was gross... odd/good foods? hmmm anyone ever heard of the food "balut"? its from our country the Philippines!!! ^^ foreigners like some people here o_O that goes to Philippines doesnt like balut that much ^^ it is a challenge for them to eat it ^^ but its really good... balut is an egg of a chicken...i really dont know how do they make balut...i mean im having hard time to translate how XD but it has a chick inside and yolk too, and is cooked...everything is edible except for the shell lol... -points to everyone- if ever some of you will go to philippines try eating balot ^^ -kino \m/-

I like Ramen. I also like sashimi and I wouldn't really call California roll sushi. Smoked or brined salmon I love both. I've eaten rattlesnake however it has not taste and it needs to be marinated in "Mom Sauce" before we can BBQ it.  |

odd foods... some people here in ther philippines eats almost anthing starting from animal bloood, intestines, brains, chicken feet, balut eggs, mice, rats, dogs, cats, worms, locusts, snakes, monitor lizards, bugs, etc... balut isn't an egg chicken...it's an egg of a duck.... I don't eat those kid of stuffs...but I heard that they're full of proteins especially insects and worms! ...I still don't want to eat those stuffs! I'm sticking to my favorite: cakes and pastries with chocolate and strawberry toppings! yay! delicious!  |

Edit: Kino-san, don't worry. I also mistook that for a duck's egg before! :D We're both stupid then, har har har... * * * * * * * Balut is definitely one of the oddest food here in Philippines. And usually, a peddler roams the street during nights, around 9pm-10pm. But I don't eat balut; I eat penoy or chicharon or quail eggs (tama ba? ung maliliit na itlog na hinahalo mo sa chopseuy). I remember a show in AXN that featured the most exotic foods dated in the whole world; balut's one of 'em. Koganei-san, the yolk contains a lot of proteins. Worms are also natural sources of proteins! But I wouldn't dare eating one alive! ... gross. And on contrary, I hate sweets. I prefer spicy food! Hmm... sour mango (i.e. carabao mango) with spicy bagoong (fish paste)! Buko (coconut) pie, Colette-branded, is my most favorite pie. I like how it's mildly sweet, not-so-sweet, just perfect. :D |

well balut is quite good... more odd delicacies from the philippines are the "isaw" and "addidas" which is chicken feet and Leque? or pork tongue is also good... now to GOOD Filipino food...hehehehe there's Sinigang, pork/chicken boiled with tamarind and vegies menudo, mechado pakbhet and the classic Adobo which is pork and chicken simmered in vinegar,soysauce and garlic...and one of my favs Dinuguan which is pork liver and...blood!mwahahahahaha no really its true!and boy is it good!really! |
