1) there is very little rap music, and I can't stand rap music. 2) anime music has very little hype behind it. 3) it's never on the radio, so it isn't over played, unless I listen to it too much 4) the Real Folk Blues (one of my favorite songs ever) that's all I can think of right now.  |

this applies to jap music in general: 10. radio station plays only nelly and 50¢ (pronounced: fity cent). 9. much more dynamic range. 8. good-enough reason to learn another language. 7. suffers significantly less from digititus than domestic music available here 6. will make even the worst anime watchable. 5. chicks dig it (not really). 4. many jap artists don’t stick to just one style of music. 3. like to see how people react when you tell them the price you paid for a cd. 2. no file-sharing mumbo-jumbo laws (for the most part)! 1. it sounds good. |

1. they make the anime more interesting 2. they're upbeat and catchy 3. i like japanese rock too, though i don't understand a thing from their language. 4. it feels good imitating the way singers pronounced their lyrics, strange but it feels even better if i had memorized them like haruka kanata from naruto 5. they mark your animes 6. singers have cute voices, so little they're sounding like chipmunks. so cool 7. they're actually overplayed on my phone (yes, but not on the radio), my ringtone is an anime song. it also feels good when you see people's reaction hearing your ringtone, 8. my phone mp3s are anime songs too, and i still like how people react hearing me singing japanese songs "ano ba yang kinakanta mo? para kang nag-oorasyon." (i don't know how to translate this in english that would be equally funny, it's like "are you doing a ritual?" aargh.. vocabulary please..) 9. it makes me happy when people think 'i'm too dumb', once in a while: 'do you understand what you're singing?' 'nope, i don't. do i have to understand all the things? 10. basically, it's because of their sound/music. even if i don't know what they're about, i would get addicted to the melody and claim this or that is a good song, though i don't know what the title means.  |

1. Most anime music is ear candy to me. I found more favorite anime/japanese music then English 2. When I draw/thinking up of something, the lyrics won't bother me, since I don't I usually don't understand them XDD Other times, they're actually the best way for me to get creative/imaginative. 3. The music is always unique sounding. Where I live, rock/punk/emo is repeated and repeated. It gets annoying to me and I run away with it listening to anime/japanese music (and unknown English favorites XD) 4. It's also fun to hum the tune of your favorite in school. A lot of people would go and ask me, "What song are you humming?" I would reply, anime music. Reactions may vary, but it's usually amusing XDDD 5. It's always fun to recognize the music in the anime. (I don't watch anime much but I read lots of manga. I recently started watching anime a bit though.) Only 5 reasons. I couldn't really write 10 cuz overall, the reason why I like it is because it's unique and it usually sounds good :3 |

1) It's a good excuse for me not to listen to rap music.. 2) Because where I live, all that ever plays is rap...(you can tell I dislike rap music.) 3) It's what draws me to a show in the first place. 4) It's fun to see the shocked reactions of relatives when I say that my favorite singer is Kotoko, and nobody knows who that is. That's always fun. 5) ...The themes of most anime songs are universal and apply to everyone. 6) To quote the Apple Jacks commercials, "...I just do". ...Six reasons, but they're pretty solid, to me anyway? |

i can't think of ten resons now..probably bcoz; i jz love japanese n the musics really suit me n my feelings i jz feel good listening to it n yeah, jz like what dream-maker said,when u said that ur fav artist is such such n nobody knows them,that's very satisfying to me^_^ makes u feel different ne? n i listen not jz for the music,i get more interested in it if i can understand the lyrics so basically,i jz love anime n jmusic.it's my type of music^_^   |

Hmm..come to think of it, I have never thought about it. (1) It has a unique feel to it. (2) I like the tune, rhythm and music of it, especially Ali Project's which has a gothic feel to it. (3) It is so uncommon and I love to be uncommon. (4) It has catchy tunes. (5) It is an occasional break from English and, in my case, OPM ones. (6) I adore anime, a lot. (7) It has a wide array of genres, ranging from happy, sad, deppressing, 'action' and general. (8) Some just fit right into my taste. (9) Sometimes, I fond it hard to kick the song tune out of my mind. It sticks, it stays. (10) It is inspiring at the same time it is amusing/entertaining.  |

Why I like it... I got some odd reasons ^_^ 1: I don't need to worry about the lyrics. People always say how stupid I am for listening to it because you don't know what they're saying, but it could possibly be a totally sappy love song and I don't care because I don't understand! ^_^ 2: I like the way a Japanese girl's voice sounds *thinks that sounds somewhat creepy/perverted* 3: J-pop usually has more songs that are more original then other songs. Where else could you find songs like Mousukoshi, Tori no Uta, or Ike Ike? *is getting a little bit into this*  |

actually, i found some songs which are not very original. they really sounded like some other foreign songs, international hits for that matter. but it's not really an issue because in the evolution of music (the melody, the harmony or the sound or even the lyrics) being totally original is really impossible. |

1. I like Anime songs for their catchyness. 2. whats wrong with liking the Japanese girls voice Sachiel? nothing wrong about that, personally I like Megumi Hayashibara. 3. Anime songs are unique in their own little way and I like that. 4. Anime songs has a wide variety of feelings to it that you can feel through the songs like for example in the song Every Heart from Inu-yasha it has a very sad atmosphere, and in Ready Steady Go from Fullmetal Alchemist, it has a energetic, ready to go atmosphere, in Ai from Excel Saga, it has a crazy, what in heck am I listening to atmosphere. 5. I just think Anime Music is just better than American Music....well for the exceptions of The Gorrilaz...eh heh heh... 6,7,8,9,10. ....I..can't think of any more reasons.....either that or I just can't remember the rest of my reasons....oh well.  |

1-10 hmmm anime songs bring emotions on the series... from the very begining of the anime its songs/theme definitely create great ambience for the series... thats what i really like about it...

Because it just contains so much originality that the western music lacks. Western music has gotten so unoriginal that it is now being classed in groups such as hip hop and rap and such. And then each song from each category sounds just the same as the other. All with the same beat and same theme, just different tweaks in lyrics and in the beat. But the thing with japanese music, personally, I find that it mixes all of the styles together in one track which ends up making like a "super-song". Also english is really becoming a boring language to me. Even though I dont understand anything of what's being sung in the japanese music, Japanese just totally catches me in its grip. Some ppl think im odd listening to a language I dont understand but really music to me is about the rythm and beat. I hardly ever pay attention to lyrics. So yeah, that's why im so in love with japanese music. Oh and since I started watching Naruto, I totally fell in love with Rocks, and then the "haruka kanata" and the "sousa kanashimi wo yasashi sani". It just clicked I guess. |

1.It actually makes sense. 2.It has a true meaning that everyone can relate to. 3.The songs have a nice beat. 4.They are fun to sing along with. 5.You can learn some japanese on it. 6,7,8,9,10.I cant think of anymore rite now srry

These r my 10 reasonzzzz... 1)They brighten my day! 2)It can make u feel like their a party inside u (except when it a sad song... which i like 2 =p) 3)Make me sing with the song... alone!!! 4)Make me dance with the song... alone!!!... again... 5)Help me with my japanese...kinda =3 6)They brighten my day! (Yes I know I wrote it twice, but is really does brighten up my day!!!) 7)It sends out a message to every1... i think?!?! 8)Ummmm... arrrrrr.... hmmmmmm.... what other ppl said ......u knoww...about stuff -_-" And those r my 10 reasons!!! =D Save your applause till l8er thxs...! The below are personal opinions, so I hope it doesnt offend anyone: 1) The lyrics (Anime songs) have much deeper meaning to it. Compared to those rap songs which I can't understand most of the time. 2) The beautiful combination of Animation and Music, hence the chemical reaction of passion within. 3) Comes in different genres and doesnt always go like :yo, yo, sups, sups...etc 4) Beautiful words put into music... of course, in Anime style. 5) Unique and original. 6) Wide range to cope with everyone's taste: Cute, Up Beat, Passion, Sad, Happy, Fantasy, Country, Pop, and well erm.... yeah, Rap. 7) Keeps my journey to Lectures pretty much enjoyable. (I wake up to Anime songs, btw) 8) Reminds you of the anime when you listen to the song, a good way to bring back good ol' memories. 9) A common "bonding" amomgst all anime lovers, and Otakus; aka Akiba-kei 10) Lovable songs that would keep you humming for quite sometime. People might say that you're queer, but you're so queer, you're special. That's the main 10 reasons why I love anime musics. In fact 70% of my music library consist of ONLY animes songs, 15% Jpop and the rest are misc. |

I don't actually have 10 reasons but just one simple yet major reason. I like anime music (or Japanese music in general) because of the emotion put forth by the singer's voice. It doesn't matter if I understand the language or not, all that matters to me is to feel some powerful emotion. That's not to say I don't like English-language songs either. I just like emotional songs ^_^ |
