Resident Evils!: Re4 or Re 1,2,3 ?

I dont know how many of you have played the kings of the Survival/Horror Genre But to those of you that have which style do you prefer? The pre-rendered, switch camera style of the old Resident Evils such as 1,2,3? Or the new action packed "Behind Leon" Style of Resi 4?  Everyday above ground is a good day  |

The new "Third-person" camera style in RE4 looks great... Although it is a pain to look around when Hordes of zombies come at you... RE4 had more action than any of the Previous RE games...  Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

Funny thing about the RE games... I'm terrible with horror, and shouldn't be able to take it (and had a lot of trouble with the others) but RE4 wasn't bad for that. More strategic. I only ever watched RE 1 and much of 2, because the plots were interesting, but I also learned a lot about eye aversion from watching that game. RE4 I watched a friend play on his second time through. He got the Infinite Rocket Launcher about halfway through, and blasted through much of the rest of the game... so much fun! You ain't seen deadly till you've seen a small town square of zombies levelled. Even better that the Regens became one-hit kills after that. And point-blank shots are hilarious. Even if they do kill the girl usually. Oops.  |

im starting to play it on the ps2 and unlocked some extras but i cant beat the game yet. If i beat it the fun will end so im playing other stuff to make the feeling last longer.  |

Im already in chapter 4-2 at pro mode... its not that hard actually... Just remember where the treasures are and Just level up your weapons (However I almost thought that I was gonna run out of ammo in one occassion... and... the monsters and bosses in pro mode are stronger than their "normal" counterparts... I usually buy the 30000 rocket launcher for some boss battles) Kneel Before the Great and Benevolent Cow! |

I could imagine how the RL would help but I never had to buy one! The only time I used the rocket launcher was against Salazars "Right Hand" (The invincible "Predator" lookalike) Freezing him then smacking him with a rocket shatters him instantly. Everyday above ground is a good day |

hmm...using a RL against the right hand? never thought of that...i usually use the TMP or Chicago Typewriter(if i'm in a hurry). hey! maybe someone can help me! my friend said that there was a gun on RE4 called the "Hand Cannon" or sumthing like that. can sumone tell me where that is please???

When it comes to Resident Evil, I'm a freak at it. I've beaten 1,2, and 3. But not 4 because I'm busy with work and school. I heard 4 was really good, except for the annoying camera angle/view, at least that's what I heard. My favorite part is nemesis 3. I must've beaten that game like 10 or 15 times. I master nemesis :) I'm so good I toy around with the zombies, ahahhaha. |

@ nux3r The camera angle in resi 4 is not annoying!!! Its a revolutionary new take on the series. Most gamers (including myself) prefer it! You feel more immersed in the game. @ bakamono To unlock the handcannon you need to get a 5 star rating on the "mercenaries" mini game with every character on every level. Good Luck! That probably was the 2nd hardest challenge I've ever faced in a game. Everyday above ground is a good day |

I'll picked the view like RE1,2,3 (it's easier) But RE4 is pretty cool if U're fan of Metal Gear series,it's hard to aim and shot enemies from that view. |

I thought RE 4 blew them all away in graphics and the new control system, and I like how they started the new story while still drawing on umbrella from the original.

| Resident evil 3.. It has a good role playing game even it is in ps1 and the story is quite good and it is really a resident evil since your enemies are zombies not a guinea pig people. Also it has a connection in the story of RE 1 and 2. |

RE4 rocks completely. The controls and new view are fab. When I try playing the old RE games again I find it a little hard moving about 'cause it's not as free, but that's just my opinion.
I may be dim, but at least I have a heart.

Never got my hands on RE Director's Cut. RE 2 Dual Shock combined with RE 3 Last Escape. RE 4's yet for me. I like how Jill parries. She can manage to push crowding zombies, even dodge the nemesis' bazooka--fired not a meter away from her! Utsubeshi, utsubeshi! "To be forgotten, is worse than death." |

undeniably the best is RE4. the camera is questionable as being great or bad but everything else about the game is bombastic! also, i think the one for Game Cube is better in terms of graphics and control, but I rather sacrifice that for the extras in the PS2 version.

i really like resident evil 4, the camera mode for me is perfect. The camera mode for Resident evil 1 gave me a headache and pissed me off >.<  |
