let see... my social studies class and my french class are really hard. since, we're like the advanced, they give us tougher stuff. our social studies teacher totally despised us since we talk a lot... so she give us harder tests... sigh...

>: My school is easy. Well it depends on what classes you're taking. I'm majoring in Auto Mechanics, so it's pretty easy and fun. I also love my Astronomy class because I get to learn about stars and planets. Chemistry can be a bitch sometimes, haha. My Ethics class is gay, but kinda fun because it's mostly about life stuff.

The entrance exam to our school is really difficult. To give a picture, a lot of examinees get sick - fever, diarrhea etc - while taking the test either because of the tension or pressure to pass the exam quota.
Being in the school is more difficult. They say that passing the entrance test is different from passing the standard of the school. I have to agree. Professors give out lots of requirements and they almost always require us to pass our papers etc. on the same day wherein we have to pass our papers for our other subjects.
The good thing in our school is the quality of education it gives us. It's fairly holistic.

In general, our univeristy is moderately soft but the college where I'm enrolled in is so hard! There are two sets of exams for you to enter our university. The first one is an exam provided by our univeristy then the second one is provided by our college.. Both are time consuming and arduous. As for my classes, they're simple but filled with lots of requirements. I'm a first yr college student so expect the subject to be easy but the real pain in the ass will start during our 2nd yr up until we graduate in 4th yr cause we'll be having summer classes! No.....!!! THen there's this on job training with nightshifts which means less time to study. well, just wish me luck...

Hm... let's see... I'm still in HS...
my school isn't really that TOUGH as you call it...
being compared to other SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOLS...
only one section per year level has advance science subjects...

Hm... like everyone, I have difficulties on some subjects like Social Studies and History... but I'm ok with my Maths and Sciences... ^________~

i'm a graduate of university of the philippines. from my batch, there were 60,000+ examinees, only 10,000+ were admitted. i managed to get a slot in manila campus and due to laziness of having to undergo long process, i never bother to shift to diliman. though, i think life 'rocks' more there than in manila. i've gone there most often when i was a graduating student.

academically, all campuses offer similar quality of education. whether you're in manila or diliman, they would teach you what are your responsibilites as a filipino citizen and what are your obligations to your country and to your fellowmen. really tough.

i know this has nothing to do with how tough my school is but,

a prof. from Siliman Univ. came to our school and said that...

UP Diliman is the #1 Univ. in the Philippines
followed by UP Los Banos...
then, #3 is their Univ.

hahah... i just wanted to share..

I just graduated for two diplomas recently and it was quite easy.

But the two year preperation course to take the exam to enter the school was hell on earth. No kidding! You see how japanese in anime study night and day to pass their univertisty exam (like poor Keitarou in Love Hina)? Well it was even worse!

System in France is perticular: after your A-levels, you can either go to university or in a "grande école". The "grande école" is were they train the "elites", a bit like Toudai, so you have to take difficult exams to be accepted. Actualy they are so difficult, you generally have to go though a "classe préparatoire", where you get a very serious level-up in sciences before you can even consider passing the exam.

School was from 8 AM to 7 PM but I still had to work everyday up to 2 AM to prepare the three or four exams per week they gave us to see if we learned our lessons well enough. Of course, week-ends were a great opportunity to work even more in case you were a bit late catching on the lessons. Besides, the teachers put a lot of psychological pressure by always saying how stupied you are, a bit like in the army.

After the exams, I was so wasted I couldn't even speak properly. It took me months to recover.

So for two years I had no social life: didn't have time for parties or girlfriends, or even anime. The rare hours I had were merely to take a nap or a bath. Thank God I didn't fail the exam, or I would have to endure another year of living hell. There are always a few people that can only withstand the first year and give up to go to a more traditionnal university. Needless to mention that they will always get "A"s since the levels is on a complete different scale.

After going through that, everything in life seems rather easy.

Well, I love my school, sometimes better than holiday.
Mostlyy because of my friends there...
School? For me it isn't though at all, as long as I pay attention in class... If I do that, then I don't really have to study so hard for exams or tests...
Most subjects especially chemistry and math/algebra/geometry are heaven if I understand them...
But, French? Geezz.... it's like hell on earth... and my grades in french? Hahah... no comment...

School sure was really tough. We were first yeasr college students. But concerning our subjects like the 1010101010101010 in Logic Circuits, gives us a hard time understanding him since he talk too fast. We cant comprehend like he is always in a hurry.

Another is our teacher. He~she gives us pains in that subject since he~she likes to have exercises that he~she never discussed properly. Even his~her voice was so soft. Sure given us a hard time though...

Manalo x Ruiz are sure the perfect.....you know

School is not though, the subjects are. For me, almost all of the subjectsare easy except for Logic Circuits and Switching Theory. Our teacher is really a pain in the neck! He discusses very fast and I don't know what will I do!

Since our class with him was affected by the foundation day and might be affected by a holiday, he'll rush us again... Oh my goodness... He teaches like he raps the lesson...

I think that this question depends on your goal. If your goal in school is to learn all you can and do your best, than you will find it challenging if you are putting in the effort.

I think that if you can't discuss the subject you are learning in a roundtable setting, you either don't know it thoroughly or you are unable to properly formulate and articulate your thoughts in an understandable manner. That is the most challenging education, a scholastic one. Discussion based.

oh, yeah, my school is kinda tough too.

my school mainly consist of cements. is that tough? =p

anyway, actually i don't know. when i was in high school, we had streaming each year. i was top when i was in worse classes, and i was last when i was in better classes. oh, that's not really an appropriate answer for the thread, right..

erm.. i think elementary school and college was tough. i mean, we had exams every other day, and people other than the elites would, usually, barely scrape a pass. high school was quite relaxing, since most teachers simply let us be (i.e. they didn't teach). but in both cases, we brought back rather satisfying results in the end.
