Well the prices vary from stores and also depends on when they are on sale. I'm in Canada and can buy anime from London Drugs, Wal-mart, Future Shop, HMV and a Comic book store (we're lacking anime import stores in my city, we had one but it only sold pirated stuff and got shut down). I bought Fruits Basket at London Drugs for $26 a piece. Future Shop, HMV, and the Comic book store are overpriced averaging 28- high 40s for DVDS, most with only 3 episodes. In terms of online, I've only ordered from RightStuf where I got all 26 episodes of Kare Kano on 5 DVDs for 35 dollars. Compare that, an entire series to 3 episodes for the same price (shipping price drove it up slightly and then convert it to US funds but overall shipping isn't bad). I also bought all of G Gundam in sets of 5 DVDs for 20 each. Great company, they send me deals including promotional/free episodes every time I order something. Each week they have something else on sale. I'm sure there are other good anime companies you can order from but RightStuf is the only one I've ordered from so far. |

well i usually go to suncoast video at a mall where i live but they sell like 3 episodes for 30-50 bucks.. i dont really care wether its in english or english subed, i could buy the full series for 10 bucks off of ebay but then again, its ebay and probly a scam. Im going to browse some trade in store near my house they seem to have old video games and movies maybe they will have anime, everything in the store tho is used. O, i live in New Jersey by the way =) |

Dude it would probably be easier if you just downloaded then cuz it would save you like a crap load of money. Beside any dubbed anime usually cost way more than in japan. |

well, some people don't want to take the time to look for and then download the anime. if you have wal*mart or best buy, go there. stuff's usually cheaper there. i used to go to suncoast and get my anime, but when i found out best buy had 'em for cheaper, i stopped going there. i haven't set foot in a suncoast for how many years now... |

It usually only takes like a few minutes to look for an anime you want and another few to download. Besides it really shouldn't be all that hard to find somthing specific you want. |

Though I'm an extremely cheap person kuripot, I still make it a point to avoid 2rats bootlegs when I have the opportunity. If I love an anime, I will make an effort to have the original copy in my collection. F.Y.I. the 2rats(two rats for the brats) is the bootleg shop of anime, well, anime series(vcd, dvd, audio cd) but when it comes to franchises(stuff toys, mecha models, etc.), they're all original. |

I buy mine from several sources. Here in Dallas/Fort Worth Texas area, there are two stores devoted to renting anime. I usually rent from the one closer to me. I also buy manga from them on occasion. I've also bought manga online from the manufacturer, and other sources. The online store I recommend is: http://www.rightstuf.com they've never done me wrong.
