Okay, this is outta pure random. Let's say someone here at gendou has never traveled outside their hometown and is about to travel. Could be Europe, America or Asia, wherever. Here's how it goes. Every can post general tips and ideas for people traveling. If you feel like, you can even post a specific tip for a specific place like "Do NOT eat bananas in Neverland." How random was that? OKay, I'd say... KNOW WHERE THE RESTROOM IS! |

Always make sure you bring your own toilet-paper when you go to the Gasstation-toilets. |

When studying abroad in Europe, do not expect to have internet in your dormitory. If you ever plan to visit historic Cape May, New Jersey, the nicest time to visit is mid-October. Though the temperatures are not good for swimming, it's BEAUTIFUL, and there is still plenty to do. Additionally, it is a grat time of year to find fully inact conch shells on the beach. Also, if your skin is very fair, never stay out for 6+ hours in Bahamian sun without protecting your skin. I assure you, you WILL recieve second-degree burns; if you are in a bathing suit, the burns will cover your entire body, and peeling skin off one's buttocks is far from fun. [I'm not speaking from experience.... what are you talking about?!] |

In Taiwan, watch out for the packs of pariah dogs that run around. And the killer mosquitos. |

When in Malaysia, look out for cracks when you're crossing a bridge. My, you'd never know when you're crossing a half-built bridge across the sea.
Behold the possibilities ! The end is merely the start of a new history !

@taishi: I'm really, really fair-skinned, and I ended up with second-degree burns during that exact situation. It's also not really a matter of heat, but the UV index, which was [I checked] over 8 during my trip. ;__; |

When in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania do not dress to impress. Also when a man asks you for your shoes, be inclined to give them up. You may not like the alternatives. If you want food, try the cheesesteaks, soft pretzels, and scrapple. You won't regret it. |

When in Malaysia, there's no such thing as traffic ethics. Prepare to cut lines (or get cut if you don't) if you want to reach your destination. And forget about signal lights - they're much useless here compared to the horn.
Behold the possibilities ! The end is merely the start of a new history !
