actually, i've heard of it, but never seen it. the same as you, i want to know what's it about, i'm clueless O.o sorry if this didn't do anything to help you. i want to know the story too. |

| Ex-driver, if I remember correctly, is about a futuristic world where cars are pretty much automatic (i.e. no driving is necessary at times; you can program the car to go where you want it to). From what I can recall, there are two girls (still in high school) who work for some police force in charge of tracking down runaway cars or speeding cars. There's also a young kid protege who joins their team. The show involves a lot of stunt driving. That's my summary, but if you would like an opinion, here's one: fun to watch but the dub gets annoying. I got the first volume (which has an awesome scene where one of the girls chases the car with a scooter) and didn't follow it. Hope that helps ^_^ |

its a good anime its about a few people whom actually still drive their cars to stop the renagade computer cars that go hay wire and fight aginst drivind street gangs

I've seen all 6 episodes (DVD). The chara design is good and the car chases are well animated. If you like such a thing you might keep an eye on this (very) small series. But what i really missed is a kind of story, exept from the last two eps. A former eX-driver wants to take revenge for being fired... All in all it is nothing outstanding.

Is it anything like Initial D? I've seen the ex-driver dvd movie at walmart but I didn't have the money to get it. Is it worth putting on my wishlist? |

| I've only seen the series. I enjoyed it. Personally I'm glad it's so short because a longer series would most likely get boring after a while. |

I've seen it... eX-D is what got me started in this whole anime thing. one of the best I've seen so far. although in my opinion if you don't know or like old cars (like the Lancia Stratos, Lotus Europa, and the Caterham / Lotus Seven) you'll miss out on half the fun of it. for those who have not seen eX-Driver and are wondering if its the same as Initial D... it's not... the only thing in common is cars really.

I've seen the whole eX-D including the movie. That was good anime. Too bad it only has 6 episodes and 1 movie. The storyline is not really about racing. But this anime is still good to watch.  |

this is a good anime but it's not that well known.most probably not many ppl watched it since it's only six episodes....i've always wanted to watch the movie since the series was so better than i expected^^ |
