I don't believe in fortune telling... One superstition I know is when you are moving to a new house, always bring first salt to make bad spirits away. |

Why not? I have a very open mind so why not? The practice of fortune telling has been practiced for thousands of years. I believe there are fake fortune tellers and real ones. I agree somewhat with Taishi. Some things are way out there, and there are always extreme ends to the Skeptics and the Mystics. I find a balance in the two. That is where I lie.

I actually know a friend whose uncle is a fortune teller. It was said that what he predict came out to be true.. One day he said to my friend that he would never succeed in his study.. he got pretty down because of that... then, his brother told him not to believe and try as hard as you can.. and now? he already got a PhD degree in Germany... So I wonder what fortune tellers said to us came to be true because we believe (the negative predictions anyway)? One superstitious belief that I know is that you should not cut(eg. your hair) anything during Chinese New Year... Another one: When you move to a new house, you and your family should drink something sweet to have a happy life....

fortune telling for me is a norm a guideline, it help us in our day to day activities. to believe in it is up to us to whether we want to accept it or not. some of them are true and some are not be wise in following it. “I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing.†|

I think that its all real, but because of the way I believe, I believe all of it will take you straight to Hell. If that doesn't make any sense, imagine two con artists pulling the same scheme. One is obvious making you go for the one that is not so obvious. People who use these 'gifts' may or may not know these things are evil, but they are nevertheless. |

i'm not sure if feng shui is science or not,but feng shui is somewhat true,it's got something to do with the magnetic field of the earth or something.

It's freaking stupid to believe in fortune-telling. It's the person him/herself can see the future! Present actions are needed to take that future. And and it's like a guessing game too. We sure always get ideas what's gonna happen next anyway. Feng shui is all complete common sense, logical science... sounds too prententious. Common sense, sounds better. But it's also such a waste of time reading feng shui! I read some feng shui books last spring and it simply made me want to say "DUH!!!!!" really out loud. Utter crap. But helpful at least. Superstitions, can't fully rely on them. I think most superstitions don't work on me, except full moon and having nightmares. Ghosts, hmm... can't say it's a part of superstition. I do read a lot of these Malaysia's paranormal stories on ghosts, curses, and superstitions and they are always featured on one popular paranormal-subject magazine in Malaysia. |

Fortune telling? I only listen to them only to laugh at them later. And superstitions? I've broken a mirror, stepped on cracks, opened an umbrella indoors, had a black cat pass in front of me, and my luck's been just normal, what's that? |
