Dragon Ball is only 42 volumes long. :P I know of one manga that is already 146 volumes long.. I don't know what it's called, but I'll get back to you on that.    |

Edit: It's KochiKame, yeah, that's what it's called. :P And the 70s part.. erm, actually, I'm not sure about that anymore. I know it's been around for a long time though. |

Has Ranma1/2 been concluded yet? I know it's done by the same lady who does Inuyasha, but last I heard, Ranma still hasn't swept Akane off her feet yet... |

I know that Ranma, InuYasha, and Kenshin are all extremely long.... I also believe that the Japanese 3x3 Eyes manga spanned well over 35 volumes. It's a real pity that the latter wasn't better recieved in the US; perhaps because it is much older, and the US manga release is only up to book 10.  ºAevaº aeva.livejournal.com |

| To my knowledge the longest running manga is Kochira Katsushika-ku Kameari Koenmae Hashutsujo, which has been running in Shonen Jump since the mid 70's with over 100 collected volumes and still going. |

Doraemon. The anime was aired for 20 years, not including movies and other short stories. Next, it's Glass Mask and Dragon Ball series. Kung Fu Boy is another one. |

Definitely Doraemon. Which manga can compete with the all mighty Doraemon series? It's been exsist since my mother was a child. Almost 30 years!

longest manga, if you're speaking about TIME: - tezuka osamu's (black jack, tetsuwan atomu, hi no tori..) - matsumoto reiji's (ginga tetsudou 999) their works were published in 1950s and 1960s - doraemon, kochikame, sazae-san etc started since 1970s. kochikame & sazae-san continued till now, but doraemon MANGA ended in 1980s. longest manga, if you're speaking about LENGTH OF STORY: - i don't know. sazae-san or kochikame?
