Why English OPs/Eds?
|
Hey, I'm pretty new to anime music so if this has been asked before, sorry. My question is why are there some anime openings and endings and others completly in english? The only examples off the top of my head are Ghost in the Shell: SAC, Living inside the shell , and Lithium Flower, but I'mm sure there's more. I know some songs have some english thrown in here and there to make it sound cool but why completly in english? I mean, I'm not complaining, it's nice to understand for once and sing along, but why? It would seem to me they would want Japanese lyrics not English ones. Just curious to see if anyone knows. |

It just depends on the composer... ask them why, I'm sure they know Some english are quite good, like stray and gravity from wolf's rain |

In Japan, english is "trendy". This may help explain why it is sometimes used in music. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
