donator only day?

| Is the "donators only" download requirement in temporary place only? How long might it last? Not trying to sound imposing, just curious. |

i will turn it on as i see fit. notice that the restriction may apply to just new songs, or all songs at all, depending on how i configure the settings. please see my post about "access levels" for further details.

Is there a required amount you have to donate before you can download again? the song I was waiting for finally got re-uploaded (fair wind from slayers ^^;;; ) and then I saw the restriction ;..; I donated literally the last dollar in my checking account via paypal because that was all I had >>; but I didn't know if there was a minimum. All I wanted was that one song ;..;

first of all, you can just wait a day if you want the song badly enough to request it. as for the minimum amount, there is none set by the system. it simply calculates if your donation is greater than zero. however, i will not acknowledge donations of under $1 USD because paypal takes out $0.30 from any transaction to begin with. I will try to reconcile donations as often as possible, but you should expect there to be a 24 hour delay.

someone asked me why this restriction is in place, claiming it conflicted with my policy "donating is optional". here is my response: donation is optional, meaning you can download any song for free. however, WHEN you are ABLE to download those songs is a different story. in order to control bandwidth usage for my servers, i arbitrarily decided to grant access to new songs to DONATORS ONLY. this does not mean you, as a NON-donator, are UNABLE to download the songs. it simply means you have to wait a day to grab them.
