But according to my friend, she said the animes in AnimeTech aren't original. At the back of the disc, you can see the animes are produced in Taiwan not Japan. So is it still considered original or a fake?

you can always download anime's online. Most of them are free fansub.Who cares if it is original or not. It's still better than ori CD's.Their sub. is better.

To audishah: Not so true. Yes, low yat has alot of unoriginal anime but there are some originals too. U need to search deeper. Last time i went there i did saw a few of them being sold.

To silver: Perhaps the DVDs/VCDs may have originated from Taiwan or anywhere else besides Japan, doesnt mean its not original. As long as it is licence and comes from a well known store, its most likely original.
Also as some of us have suggested, u can also get original anime from speedy or some suggested tower records but generally to tell u the truth u can actually get anime from almost any VCD/DVD stores now a days. Even Carefore and Jusco supermarkets are selling them!

I don't buy anime. I just download them since I have streamyx... But I think Anime Tech is the best place to find them...

as a customer of both animetech and tower records...this is what i have to say:

animetech: most of the time original
tower records: always fake...my subs didnt work for sh*t and they only give you 7 days to return it and get another copy...

i agree with blue...animetech is the best place to BUY anime...however if you have streamyx then download it...its way better

go to SM, the shopping mall beside Kotaraya... the 4th floor, if im not mistaken, is dedicated to animes, jap and korean dramas....

you'll go ga-ga there...the dvds and vcds are original, and a whole lot cheaper than animeotech and tower records... i got my complete slam dunk (classic, i know...) for 74 bucks.

they hav a good selection of new animes as well...im still waiting for my Gakuen Arisu tho....
