Ring Trilogy Opinions?

| I have just finished reading the Ring trilogy and think it's awesome!!...How about anyone else? Err...I won't put up anything right now in case anyone hasn't finished reading and then I give away the ending...*gasp* I'd feel really bad....^o^ So...I'll wait and see. ^^ |

wow ring trilogy... how i wish i could read them... i think they're not available here in the philippines.. or are they?... are they just the same with the movies? with added details of course.. ^_^" oh i forgot there's no loop movie... silly me... correct me if i'm wrong ring trilogy consist of ring >> spiral >> loop right? wow... T_T  |

came in so excited, got confused upon reading lei's post what ring are we talking about here? i was thinking of lord of the rings... hehe... sorry. are you referring to ring, the horror movie or something else. something else is something i had no knowledge of. ^_^  |

If you're talking about LOTR the first book I read was really well done. Yet, I couldn't get into the second one, "The Two Towers." I wanted the story to start with Frodo and Sam and it didn't. The movies are really well done. I enjoyed them a lot. They did leave out some of the random scenes and changed things around, but that's a given with large books and an audience who doesn't want to spend five hours in a theatre. |

Oh...Forgot about the two ring series...Well, I've read both so this can be an either/or thread; that doesn't violate rules, right? Because I love BOTH!!!! ......and I'm in school and have to get off quick will post at home aboutthis more later ^^ PLEASE READ (ADDED): @lei8iel: Yes, they're the three :) And, does everyone think a double ring thread is a good idea (and, movie/book/both)? LOTR and Koji Suzuki's Ring trilogy? Before I go on happy versions of rants on how much I love both?? ^_______^ |

The Ring... Ugh. I'm sorry, but those were some of the worst movies I've ever seen.

@Filter, have you read the books? They are MUCH better....in my opinion ^^....p.s. Did everyone see the bold in my last entry?? n.n And, in addition to that, I checked the rules and there's nothing about two topics at once...But is that an unwritten rule that everyone else knows?? ^^ |

is it true that dr. heic... heic... ahhhhh i forgot the name... rape sadako.. and that the virus/consequence after you've watch the video is that sadako will reproduce.. or something like that... i just read that from a site... was that in spiral or loop? |

have you watched the movie spiral?... >.< i hate sadako there... she's so.... errrr.. out of character well based from her character in the ring, of course.. i dont know in the novel |

I've only read the book Spiral...But if the book and movie are anything alike, then yeah, she is!! What's with her being nice?!! That really was sort of sad......I like creepy, scary, vengeful Sadako!!!!!!! ....... And then Loop totally spun it......What was she then anyway?? |

errrr... you call that nice? hehehe... seducing ando is nice to you? in a way yeah, that was nice... compare to the creepy, scary and vengeful sadako in the ring... hahahha ^_^" i'm really enjoying this... in the pass years i've been looking for someone whom i can talk with regarding ring... hahahaha ^_^" i envy you kittykat.. i only watched ring 1,2,0 and spiral movies... i really wish i could read the books... ^_^" |

Ok, seducing isn't so nice....^__^ But in her letter at the end, there's no creepy scary Sadako we all knew and loved!!!! ^^ It's almost like she's half-apologizing or something....C'mon, Sadako, GET HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! n___n And I feel the same, it's really great to discuss Ring...Nobody where I live cares or even knows....SAMARA DOES NOT EQUAL SADAKO!!!! I've never seen the movies except the first one, and that was SO FUNNY when you hear the thwack and she goes into the well....That's quite a sound effect; it was awesome^^!! And, have you ever heard about Loop?? THAT TOTALLY TWISTS EVERYTHING!!...Although I don't know if there's a movie on that one...I don't want to spoil the whole thing unless you want the ending, so I won't say anything yet......I hope you have a chance to get the books; I don't know anything about Philippines bookstores or anything... ^^ |

Yeah movie sites!!!!!!!!!!! ^^ Oh, what do you think about poor Asakawa?? I felt bad for him and nobody knew what the heck an Asakawa was...^o^And, Ryuji is awesome. Nobody knew who or what he was either^^... ............. I wish I had powers like Sadako.....Wouldn't that be awesome?? YEAH VIDEOTAPES I STILL HAVEN'T USED!!!! ?? Is it one name? I thought it was Ryuji and Asakawa??.... But yes, the father of Yoichi (maybe my english-version books are off...or my memory is fuzzy...) But anyway....What was he?? ..... Are we talking about the same person :)?? Since I have the names mixed up?? Anyway if its Asakawa then he lives bc he helped so much to spread the ring ^o^ YEAH SADAKO!!!!!!!!!!!(I think she's awesome, pretty obvious ^^) |

wahhhhhhhhhh i dont know.... i'm confused the asakawa i really know was reiko asakawa... since reiko was ryuji's ex-wife i assume that your referring ryuji as asakawa... since you used the pronoun "HIM" |

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! I think I know the problem!!!! I read somewhere that asakawa was changed to a woman in the movies ^o^ So originally he's a guy!! In the book he thinks alot about his wife and kid and Ryuji is an old friend n_____n So yeah, I think Ryuji has powers, like a 6th sense or something^^ He's soooo smart.....figures so much stuff out ^^!! |

its been quite a while.. ^_^" i found a bookstore selling koji suzuki's books.. however, they only have dark water for the time being.. i really wish to by the books one of these days... ^_^" |
