Hi guies! I was wondering, has anyone ever seen the alternative end of Evangelion(Death and Rebirth)? If you did see it, could you give me some hints? I want to know if this DVD really gives us a different ending to the show, does it gives us new infos on the caracters, and if there is anything gross in it, cuz I looked on a site and it said that the DVD was rated Mature... Please, help me! I've seen the serie, but the end confuses me! I dont get it! I want to know what happened to the caracters!!!!! I might consider buying the DVD, but I'm still uncertain cuz of what I mentionned, and I dont want to spoil me money! This DVD cost Big Bucks you know... Thanks in advance... Hiya there! Death and Rebirth is sortof a two hour clip show. There's very little new in it, and it ends with the death of Tabris. Buy the End of Evangelion for the true ending! It's just as confusing, but violent as hell! It's also rated mature btw. SPOILER AHEAD * * * * * * * * * Everybody dies (technically) but Shinji and Asuka. Yeah... ROQ's Deviant Art Profile

i saw the movie already. its quite sad that all the people died. but only shinji and asuka haven't died yet and theres alot of violent too.

death and rebirth shows us what asuka is so choked up about, how shinji is the way he is, who rei is (finally!!!), and why gendou started to manefest his evil(I guess its evil???) scheme.the end Fummeln Sie mit dem besten herum.. stirbt wie der Rest!

Mostly are flashbacks. In the end, everybody died (coz they're not used to fighting humans, like a culture shock) except for Asuka and Shinji. Rei said she is the "hope" or something like that.

Death and Rebirth is the concrete ending of Evangelion.. eps 25-26 were more of the psyCho things in the heads of the chiLdren,, and since quite a Lot weren't satisfied with this, they made the movies. bow.Ãœ          m y . L i F E . i . t r a d e . i n . f o r . y o u r . P A i N .

Yeah.. I can say Death and Rebirth was just the summaries of the series... if you want to watch the true ending,, watch The End of Evangelion ^o^ And i'd say,, it's great ^^ you must watch it =)

SPOILERS . . . . . . . . . . . . . Mankind is evolving into the next Angel. Everyone's memories and experiences are being shared within the evolving Angel, that's what the clip show is about. Then you get to Shinji. Who, because he is lonely, decides that evolving into the next Angel is not a good thing because he wants all his friends back. Death = death of the human race as it evolves into the next Angel Rebirth = the rebirth of the human race because Shinji is a ninny.

umm... death and rebirth was the metaphorical version of life having an end... it practically looked like a parody of the series to me... during the end of the episode series (around ep 20 or somethin) there was a budget cut so, as u can tell from the animation value, they decided to bastardize the series instead of waiting for more money... in short, i loved the series, hated the movie, do NOT buy death and rebirth, buy E.o.E or Rebuild.
