Let's say you're obsessed/adicted in watching, buying, drawing ANIMEs does it bother you that they are calling you adict or obsessed? what does your parents say about it? what about your friends? TO ME: To the point, i really don't care about other people calling me adicted or obsessed in anime, for that matter, i don't care what people say...well if someone approaches you and say 'you're an anime adict!' reply with 'what do you care, this is my trip(1), get your own!' trip(1):liking

I tell them this. I spend most of my time watching anime at home and I am called a nerd. But these guys spend all their time home doing nothing but watch sports so what makes them so much better? Its not like they are playing sports they are being inactive people just like I am so why is that I get criticised for being a nerd? gets me angy >=(

to me, anime(and manga) is my life! it is the only thing that make me really happy. i would be very sad also when people critize anime (they dont even understand what it is)

on one of my job interviews i told the manager that i am addicted to anime and if i wasn't in that room 2am in the morning i must have been in front of my computer downloading naruto manga. it doesn't matter anymore what she might have thought of me, the situation is so annoying. i was asked to drop by at their office 9:30pm but i waited too long and all that she would ask me is if i could tell her something about myself, and after giving her what she wanted she'll reply, "anything else?" that's the time when i told her about my obssession to naruto and anime.  |

TO TUN4L the word NERD is just a term that people use just because they cant understand you, know what i mean? for one thing, to tell you some of those guys who is in to sports so much are really dull when it comes to academics. hehehehehehe...

| There are not many people around me who really loves anime (Well,most pf the boys love ecchi and hentai but not anime and anime lovers aren't obsessed like me)...Most of my friends even don't know the meaning of anime...They don't know the difference btw anime and cartoon...So they call me "kid" because they think i'm watching cartoon and they are too old (!) for cartoons...So i really don't care what they think or say about me anymore...At least i'm trying to ignore them...My family don't think it's something bad...They are not into anime too but they are happy cuz' i have hobby that keeps me quiet for hours ^^ |

My obsession is completely healthy although my parents are against it and my friends call me either a nerd or a dork. Although I hate the terms Nerd and Dork cause thats putting people into groups. I'm in my own group of one...xD anyways, I have few friends that like anime but I try to make them like it but if they don't then they don't... Anime and Manga are one of the biggest things in my life so I don't care if anyone likes it or not. Its not a bad thing to like it. ^^    |

i must admit,lol,if one day,somebody took away anime from me,i would seriously either find out who and murder that person,or commit suicide,cz without anime,there's no point in living for me.and i don't give a damm to what my parents say,about what my friends say,lol,i have no real life friends and my internet friends are all anime addicts also,so,no worries=D |

Hmm, in all actuallity, where I live, no one really cares that I am obsessed with anime. x_X My parents don't mind, but of course, they tease me everyone once in a while, but it's not bad. They still buy me all my anime and stuff, so I don't think they mind. As for others, almost everyone in my high school likes/liked anime once in there life, so they don't really care whose obsessed and who's not. I guess I'm pretty lucky. I moved beginning of freshman year of HS, so when I moved, I became friends with people who absolutely adored anime/gaming. But at my old school, my friends still don't mind at all & don't think anything of it. I brought this friend from my old house over to my new house, and to make a long story short, she went in my wall scroll covered room, and she really didn't care. ^^; On another note: If someone were to tell me I'm absolutely obsessed, and addicted, (Which has happened before) I simply respond, "Yeah, your point is?" plus, I really don't care what anyone says. Anime is like chocolate. It makes you happy and uncaring. ;3 |

about 95% of my friends at school no nothing about the type of drawings I draw. It's called ANIME! DER! they always be like, this ish is like Dragonball Z, im like if your gonna call it that then you might as well not call it that at all, when it's clearly nothing close to it!..gets me pi5sEd off! ok..little off track for a minute..but besides my bs friends!(lol) im am completely controlled by anime, it makes me happy just watching shows like DN ANGEL, or FMA, or my fave FMPanic/FUMOFFU..anything that makes me laugh or to settle down, but I never get angry that I'll explode inside!

honestly...when i find a good anime my school marks go down the drain lol! If my parents catch me watching anime they'll check to see if all my homework is done lol! and im in college too! lol Yes, i know itz sad!

Tenshi Angel, we share the same feeling toward "our" anime and our own "world" hehehe, but were different in a way that if i found out who took one of my reason to live in this filthy world, i'm not going to murder that person, i'll torchure that person... that way, you can hear him cry. hehehehe. I've got lots'o'pots'o friends who are obsessed with anime Although one of my friends doesn't exactly understand why we like it, but at least her head's not thick enough to call what I draw Pokemon or Sailor Moon (unlike SOME people...well, a lot) Practically 1/3 of my school are idiots, so they always mock anime by drawing stupid scribbles over the chalkboard and say (in a mock-y voice) "Hey, everyone! This is MY anime!" Either that, or they call it PORN (WTF is wrong with these idiots??!) But if someone came up to me saying I'm an anime/manga addict, I'll just smile and say something along the lines of "Thanks for noticing" :D But if someone dares come up to me and starts badmouthing anime while I'm drawing... Well...let's just say that they won't be seen for the next few weeks...

My parents tell me I'm too obsessed and they threaten to smash the computer and T.V. (what a waste of money) if I continue. Sometimes when I'm meant to be doing something for school (eg studying for an exam or something) my mind goes off to anime and I can't think. In the end I end up watching a few ep of Bleach or Naruto or something. I can't really communicate with anyone who doesn't like anime now, it's the only thing on my mind. Like I say, I can't think of anything else in life except anime... like if I see a person on the road I'll have to relate them to an anime character. It's crazy I know. Oh, and I would tackle anyone who insults anime. =) I'll be waiting here. So if you come here, you'll find me... I promise. |
