Lol I'm learning Japanese in my college class but it's the hardest class I actually have (Not Calculus 2 or 3, not Chemistry haha). Do you know what all of these cancellations reminds me of? Deathnotes in Japanese Schools Incident which happened not too long ago. So I guess people over there still have some repercussions over Child Influencing. Sigh, Wah, these are the two animes I look forward to every week. It sucks how School Days had to stop... RIGHT ON THE STINKING LAST EPISODE. h4xor, haha you know what's funny? I was just playing F.E.A.R. 10 mins ago prior to posting this message XD But I don't think I could ever pull an Alma just for anything... (By the way, have you beat Extreme Mode? I find it boring and easy. I also find it amusing to pop the bad guys heads off with a shotgun >:D) Tension always dies down, after some time. h4xor and izumo please stop fighting over animes... please, I know I don't know you guys personally but please stop fighting as my online buddies. And h4xor, they way you're angry over this also makes you under the influence. Don't worry about the shows. They'll have to come up later anyways because I'm pretty sure some people in Japan are against the cancellation too. Anyways, wasn't Elfen Lied aired on TV too??? How was that violence and gore able to appear on TV and not Higurashi and School Days?! It was slightly worse in gore wasn't it????? I mean, it showed brains (mmmmm, brains :p), intestines, a heart (right in the first essay too) and bones in legs. Did I mention a head popping off? In my opinion, I'm just freakin glad Claymore wasn't cancelled.  |

It's not the fact that I disagree with izumo's opinion, everyone has their own, and it's not that the show is influencing me in terms of violence, etc. What's got me ticked is that this is one of -almost the only- show I really watch every week and gives me energy to push on with my studies since I want to see what happens next. It's one of the few shows on right now that I have any motivation to watch even whatsoever, and it helps me get my work done by helping me focus when I finish an episode. Try being in my position in college with 22 credit hours staring you in the face eating every moment of your awake mind except for an oasis of several precious minutes a day, and THEN tell me that I'm overreacting. Don't even try to relate if you're not in college, because HS doesn't even compare (though if you are in college, then I think you can understand). And thus, that I've lost one of my few methods of being able to relax to focus later, all because of some bureaucratic bull. @Skyl: yes, Elfen Lied showed on TV in japan, though it was a pay-per-view channel, so they could get away with it (and yes, it is A LOT gorier that Higurashi could ever hope to be. 17 brutal deaths in the first five minutes of episode 1). FEAR is easy if you play it long enough. Lastly, ultimately the BIGGEST thing that has me ticked about all of this, is that there's a chance they'll change the plot or episodes over this. It has happened to numerous shows in the past when in similar situations, so that's what I'm REALLY afraid of....waiting would be nothing by comparison to finding that the show's plot totally bombs as a result of re-editing because of this.

Yeah I understand your situation. HS was like that though, for me. I was in the IB Diploma Program and 18 credit hours in college was child's play compared to that. I understand your situation. But, it's one thing we all have to face in some point in our lives, Reality is a B**** |

Sorry that was my fault....i kinda went off topic when i read about that both Higurashi & School Days were pulled due to the killing over in Kyoto. I read h4x0r dud3's post about it & disagreed with his views on it....although i really fully understand his frustration. Anyways i hope nothing will come about the series for the sake of the fans of it....one event shouldn't de-rail the series to being more kid-friendly. Just like i'm awaiting the end of School Days.....i hope very soon you all also will get back to watching the series as well.  |

so... the killer loli thing they spoke about on the sub was true... this world is actually quite sick... i realized just when i watched the sub... here's some info: english Español Español 2 back to the series.... it is getting interesting... this is the first time I saw ooishi got killed... minnagoroshi... mmm.... wow so there's a sequel to higurashi no naku koro ni! yes! i just finished watching the first season and its kinda confusing...good thing there's a season 2! nice! will it explain why there are two takano's? i mean in one of the arcs of the first season, the autopsy suggests that takano was already dead when they were at the festival? this thing got me confused since there was no closure to it, and the ending of the first season...it seems all the events are like loops or happened in a different dimension...plus i read in wiki that the last arc was the solution to the first arc...but still i dont get it? did keiichi killed mion and rena out of paranoia in the first arc? why? |

well the series is turning interesting as it aproaches it's final chapters... i want to see Hanyu "in action", and right now a lot of things have been explained. For those who thought season 1 was good yet to bloody for them, you might want to check this season, it's a great psychological thriller. (Ganbare Hanyu!) ã©ã†ã—ã¦ç½ªãŒã‚ã‚‹ã®ã ã‚ㆠ|

Higurashi no naku koro ni kai is not as exiting as season 1 as it does not have as much killing scenes as season 1 but it's very interesting as many things will be revealed... can't wait for the next episode to be out!!! Oh, and I love the op so much...

If you want gore, Elfen Lied is surely better for you than Higurashi. Higurashi is more of a mystery series.   |

I think Elfen Lied is a great anime, Elfen Lied is nearly pure gore... Higurashi no naku koro ni is a total mystery series, they just use gore to enhence it ;D (or i think so) Without the blood, higurashi wouldn't be.. higurashi! by the way isn't # 21 supposed to come out today?

Yes, it did and I have the RAW for it, but lately fansubbers have been rather sluggish with the series lately. It's rather unfortunate that even episode 20 didn't get subbed until almost a week after it aired... Oh well, guess I'll have to brush up on my japanese idioms... ("Oh, I don't understand these harsh Nippon words!" lol)

as for me i prefer season two (kai) because there are less killing scenes (not that they bother me) because it focuses more on the story and has better suspense how i wish for episode 21 XD ã©ã†ã—ã¦ç½ªãŒã‚ã‚‹ã®ã ã‚ㆠ|
