This season is the best! I had lots of fun watching it... After hearing the official announcement of a third season, i though Kai left another hanging ending. it turned out the opposite! Rika and the gang did it! ... and Hanyuu too! :3 The last arc was the most exciting of all. i only had the chance to finish the last three episodes this morning. If it weren't for school, i would have finished it at once. |

the series really amazed me in season 1 and it amazed me more in season 2! the animation seems good to me although the 1st season has better animation quality. the 2nd season focuses more on what really occured in the so-called Hinamizawa tragedy and the characters unity and stuggle to win against fate. it really made me happy seeing all of them working together and winning at the end!  |

It seems that there will be a Higurashi OVA out soon. I read it on the new Higurashi manga... But it was in Japanese so... I can't say much about it. But I think it'll be on Satoshi x twin (the younger sister... I forgot her name! >_<)  |

Shion is the younger sister, Mion is the older sister i cant wait for the new season to come out higurashi no naku koro ni is my favorite anime ive heard the new season is comin out in december but i dont know if this information is reliable:P i started thinking about relationships between the characters my favorite is RennaXKeiichi and next is MionXKeiichi what do other people think about it? thank you engel for pointing me to this forum

| Ahh I LOVE this anime. I watched Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai a while back it was so good. I've been wondering when the third season was going to come out...the way Kai ended showed there was another season on the way. Can't wait! |

Well, I never expected a season 3 since season 2 have a good ending (good in a sense that Rika finally lived through he "due time")... But I don't know why the grown up Rika actually went back time to guide the young Takano to be with her parents (thus death). Perhaps she wanted a perfect ending and that none of her friends would have to suffer the ordeal. But having a season 3 is good. Hopefully then more mysteries will be cleared~ |

Ah guys there is no 3rd season Higurashi na Naku Koro ni Rei is an OVA in which is highly different from the two i heard there is a visual novel novel version of Rei and there is highly different from the two seasons maybe Rika went back in time to protect Takano, Miyu to prevent such ordeal in the future  --> |

So OVA =/= season 3... hahaha~ ish confusing... since I'm having problem with School Rumble sangakki... though that should be an OVA, but it's also known as Season 3 (thus sangakki?) Rika probably did. She's so different when she's all grown up. She kinda reminded me of Yuuko from xxxHolic. I guess it the long hair and the mysterious self~ |

what rika did when she went back in time was not lead takano to her death she told her to go home so she and her parents were on the bus and not in the car that was hit so now takano had no reason later on to try and kill rika because her parents never died i want to see the live action version of higurashi but i have to wait now until the sub or dub version comes out :(
