@SkyL: I have no problem with useful homework. It's the stupid, waste-of-time, busywork stuff that really gets to me. I still do the work but it makes me think... 8 hours of sleep per night = 1/3 of life wasted 2 hours of useless homework per day = 1/12 of life wasted 1/3 + 1/12 = 5/12 (almost half) my life wasted on sleep and homework alone

Haha, I forgot people sleep for a moment. Back in my High School Days, I was in the IB (international baccalaureate) program for the diploma path. It was a worst/best thing I've ever done. Worst end covers: Lack of sleep (I never got more than 3 hours of sleep on any given weekday). Have suffered sleep-less weeks 8 times in one year (IB is a 2-year program so a total of 16-ish times) Lessened social life. No time for games, internet, life. Best end: College is a breeze. Life is a breeze. I know more than a senior in college. Sad End (yeah there's another part): I cried the summer break after I graduated because I was able to sleep as long as I want. As for my social life: I regained it plus more. Hehe. Just do it, and you'll be so used to it (and faster), you'll be superman. Heck, because of that experience, I can type a 3 page, 1 inch margin, single spaced paper in 30 minutes. Oh yea, ZK, you only have to do homework for 12-24 years of your life (given you go thru High School and take 4,8,12 years in college) So if you do your math, you don't have 1/12 of your life wasted on homework. Taking you live up to 80 years old and you went to be a doctor (8 yrs in college), you do homework for 1/48 of your life. Now see? if you did your math homework, you would have gotten that ^.^  |

^^ Faulty math, hehe (I just finished my math homework). I guess when you're in the midst of it, school seems like something that will last for the rest of your life o.O Honestly, the work usually isn't hard, there's just a lot of it and I find most of it to be a waste of time. Don't get me wrong, though, I love learning (one of my favorite... hobbies?) which allows me to love school to some extent. Anyway, thanks, SkyL. That was somewhat inspiring =D Seriously

Aww thnx ^^ I really did cry I when I got into bed knowing I'll finally get my 8hrs of sleep (T.T) Here's more math lol 12 years of working hard (8 yrs college and 4 high school b/c who works hard in middle and elementary school?) equals the rest of your life in the easy happy rich zone (most of the time) Slacking off now pays off now, until you have to leave your parents or support them when they're too old, then it's hell the rest of your life(also other factors not mentioned). Unless you are extremely smart and stuff. Bill Gates was smart but he had to start somewhere. Everyone thought he was a loser who dropped out of Harvard. But now look, he owns our @$$e$ in money and donates them to charity. So the math doesn't lie. Slack off now, or later? |

*is inspired by SkyL's words o.o* Indeed, I don't exactly find doing homework for 7 straight hours after coming home from school the most interesting thing in the world. Especially when it's boring, and even worse, when you don't understand it. Since I'm on a block schedule (only 3 or 4 classes a day) the load of homework is lessened which I'm really grateful for. But still... There's so much history homework. I'm taking AP US History and we have to read the textbook, cover to cover by mid January. Plus we have to take evil Cornell notes on every chapter too. *-* Grr... An FRQ or DBQ essay every week a long with studying for class debates. T.T I would have most of my hard classes this semester too. I think I have everything done for today at least. Except... Oh crap, I still have to start studying for the SAT and ACT. =.= I better get on it. |

Dang, wonder how that went. One of days this year, I'm going to stay up all night and just dL anime and whatnot. In fact, I only have a half day tomorrow of school and I might do it tonight! I have a short "quiz" in History tomorrow, too, but ah... We have like, 10 minute classes and he's making us take a quiz. Lame. D: Anyways, I missed Monday so there goes my perfect attendance... and this point of my life, I don't care anymore cause you don't get the cool stuff like you did in elementary school or even middle/Jr. High school. I have to do 70-80 problems of Math and two assignments of Math (which contain two so 2+2=4) online! I'm not sure what's due tomorrow though, so I'll only do one of the three assignments in the book. =.=` I need training to stay up for consecutive days. Summer was the perfect training period. >;3
