A Short, But Strong Quote
Link | by ~'*ShinJinrui*'~ on 2007-12-07 20:05:36 (edited 2007-12-08 00:14:31)
I picked this quote up when I was doing a biography for a man named Tupac Shakur. If you do not know this man, I strongly suggest you look him up and read, deeply, about him. Do not take a brief glance at his name and say, "Oh, him? He's just a rapper who got shot." He is far beyond that, and I cannot put words together to describe him.

What is your response to this quote?
THE UNANSWERABLE?
QUESTION:
WHEN WILL THERE BE PEACE ON EARTH?

ANSWER: WHEN THE EARTH FALLS 2 PIECES!!

"To bring you back into this world
I’d break every rule
Machines try to take me to hell I don’t really care
I do it for love"

well...nice choice of words that's for sure ^^V

but that's just the highest probable answer

for peace to really exist, man should let go of his personal desires ( greed, lust etc)
and live life not just for himself but for everyone else...

however that would be very impossible and a very boring world to live in

Though I couldnt agree any more with you prime, I kind of become two faced when that subject is brought up. It would be nice to have a completely peaceful world, though it would be boring and eventually something would happen that drastically change the world.

But the way your perspective puts it, it looks like you want a "human without error," or perfect human beings, correct? Now if this is true, why can we not co-exist with the imperfections we have, and not remove them, but set them aside.

But this brings up another question like, "what makes you think a perfect person can solve this?" But that would contradict the fact of ever bring up the "boring, but peaceful world" suggestion you made earlier.

So... dang it, I'm at point blank again!

see that's the problem

human perfection is impossible...for " perfection" in itself differs from one person to another...

a perfect world is a like a world of black and white...

by "perfect" i mean people with no negative emotions where everything is done in a systematic way of living, like that movie (where emotions are bad etc...taking a pill...the one with gunkata...forgot the title)

take the truman show

life there is perfect since everything is done in a systematic and scripted way

and that perfect life is created by one system...and that means we only live because the system makes us live..

gah i cant explain it throughly but true peace is just wishful thinking...

as i said tupac's answer is the best probable thing to happen

for humans are incapable of living without "out doing" the others around them...

Wow, I agree with Prime, but I don't think he'd want a perfect human. I think he's just giving an example of what we could do. I also think it would be boring if everything was just normal with this world. I couldn't think of a peaceful time in my life except when I was 5 or so, but still, that is a pretty strong quote. It might even have to be the answer. Oh, and by the way, have you ever noticed that when disaster hits us, or is caused by someone, that is the only time we fight together? I think that's a bad excuse to trying to be a better earth. But when the disaster is over, what do we do? We go back to the way we were. Prime's also right about the different veiws of perfection people have. I know someone that is perfect in my eyes, but in anothers, he might not even be good. But still, this is a very expandable subject. I look forward to future responses.

Aye, peace will happen when there will be nothing to happen.
Haha.
The imperfections of all of us beings is what makes all of us unique and different.

So I drove into a parking lot one time and saw this person pull into a handicap parking spot. When you think handicap, you think wheelchair and whatever, right? So it just ticked me off when I saw the guy come out of the car perfectly fine. So then I ran him over.

Okay, when people are looking at this quote, are they looking at the answer as a means of complete destruction?! Okay, from the writer's point of view, Tupac's idea of a "perfect world" was not to have people become the same with no emotions to test each other, but a true expression of one's self, creatively, and without a suppressive atmosphere that he so vividly fought for before the time of his unexpected death. He meant a rebellion with a good intent, and not just a small riot or two, he meant a rising of the people to gain, forcefully if necessary, skills that you cannot learn academically, such as thinking out of, through, and around the box on multiple levels.

I don't know if you know this or not, but Tupac was raised in a very rebellious atmosphere. His mother and "god father" were one strongest activists of the infamous "Black Panthers," and they taught him to never forget his roots and to stand for the principal that we were created equally, even though this is not entirely true. Taking that into account, he saw the faults of the American government at the time, and sought to challenge them.

Now, from my prospective, we obviously, and inevitable will have conflict on this subject of "the world falling to pieces," because, living under different conditions and governments, will have very diverse perspections. So in my own words, I interpreted the quote as not a cataclysmic event that will either alter or obliterate the way we as a human race live, but a wake up call that challenges the authorities on which seems right or wrong, by the means of sociability versus our mentality.

Another question I have is, why does everyone think that a "perfect world" is one in which people are absolute emotion kill, like have no emotions, just living a dull boring life. In my opinion, a perfect world is a place where we, as a human race, can interact without having a conflict that is negative, and we are open about ourselves, are being, and our emotions to each other. Please answer me this question!

@shin because emotions makes us imperfect...say your pc has emotions...instead of it doing its primary functions it becomes a rebel and deletes your files out of the fun of it...see intead of being "perfect" it well ruins you

and its impossible for a man to coexist with another without conflict

man always and will always fight over the most simplest of things, he'll always think of himself first and goes for his personal gain rather than for the good of all...

so to coexist perfectly we have to have the same "everything" thus killing identity and emotions itself

individuality is some thing that would have to be removed
to be green in a world of only blue someone will get jellous
in my opinion living in peace isent realy living
^__^V my 2 cents

hey i really love this quote!
i'm very agree to this man's saying.
and i also agree that "for peace to really exist, man should let go of his personal desires ( greed, lust etc)
and live life not just for himself but for everyone else..."
but i also believe that nothing is impossible
maybe peace will fall one day
but we're no longer exist for that day.

You ask my opinion on that quote? Well, i say anyone who hates the world and lost his trust to humanity would answer like that in 2 seconds. lol, even one of his albums in 1995 is called "Me Against the World". So i guess he's just a world hater, faced by many unfairness in life and developed that attitude as a result. Poor guy, but nothing new -_-

yet such a simple reply is so true. It's not like we can have world peace with humans around.
